The opportunity We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive Accountant to join our Finance team. This role combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with financial analysis, problem-solving, and process improvement. While primarily focused on expense management and accounts payable, the position offers exposure to other finance functions, including procurement, taxes, reporting, and special projects. The ideal candidate has a solid accounting foundation, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently, investigate issues, and recommend practical solutions. Employment Level: Mid Level Employment Type: Full Time Location: Philippines Working Hours: 9pm to 6am PHT (APR-OCT) or 10pm to 7am PHT (NOV-MAR) ## What you'll do Accounting & Financial Operations - Own procurement activities, including vendor negotiations, contract review and management, and other accounting or tax-related projects as needed. - Own tax-related activities and other accounting projects as needed. - Support accounts payable and expense management activities, including transaction reviews, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution. - Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account analysis, financial reporting, and review of transactions for accuracy, appropriate accounting treatment, and unusual activity. Financial Analysis & Problem-Solving - Analyze financial data to identify trends, inconsistencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement, collaborating with the team to develop and implement solutions. - Investigate complex accounting issues, determine root causes, and recommend practical solutions. - Develop reports and translate financial data into actionable insights that support decision-making.
