Founded by Managing Partner Steve McLaughlin, a former senior investment banker at Goldman Sachs, FT Partners comprises a team of highly experienced professionals with backgrounds across the financial technology, M&A, and investment banking divisions of Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and other leading institutions. FT Partners has been recognized with the "Dealmaker of the Year" and "Investment Banking Firm of the Year" awards by The M&A Advisor, and continues to be a trusted advisor on some of the most high-profile transactions in the fintech space. ## Role Overview We are seeking a polished, proactive, and highly organized Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to our Vice Presidents, Directors and Managing Directors in our New York office. This individual will play a central role in the day-to-day operations of the office — managing communications, coordinating logistics, and creating a seamless experience for both staff and guests. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who anticipates needs before they arise and takes pride in keeping a professional environment running at its best. ## Key Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive administrative support to senior team members, including calendar management across multiple time zones, email correspondence, and travel coordination. - Drive efficiency through strong organization, attention to detail, and effective prioritization of multiple deadlines. - Coordinate meetings involving clients, investors, or deal counterparties, anticipating conflicts before they arise - Create and manage detailed itineraries (flights, hotels, ground transport) often on short notice - Coordinate conference rooms, video conferencing, and materials for both internal and external meetings - Handle last-minute changes gracefully when deals or client needs shift priorities - Serve as a polished first point of contact for clients, partners, and senior leadership, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience - Process expense reports and reimbursements accurately and on time ## Qualifications - 2–4 years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably within a professional services or financial services environment. - Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the maturity and presence to interact confidently with senior executives and clients. - Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Zoom) familiarity with travel booking tools a plus (Brex). - Comfortable operating within a small, collaborative office environment. - A proactive problem-solver who works well independently and as part of a team. - Bachelor's degree required. - U.S. work authorization required (the firm does not sponsor work visas). ## What We're Looking For Communication: You communicate clearly and professionally — both in writing and in person — and are equally effective preparing materials and participating in meetings at all levels of the organization. Collaboration: You bring a team-first mindset, contribute to a positive office culture, and are comfortable working under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Integrity: You demonstrate sound judgment, a strong ethical compass, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in a sensitive business environment. Growth Mindset: You are eager to develop professionally, invest in your own growth, and contribute to the development of those around you. Why Join Us? - Gain meaningful exposure to high-profile transactions spanning billion-dollar deals and high-growth venture capital investments. - Competitive base salary of $70,000 - $80,000 + bonus, commensurate with experience. - Excellent career development opportunities within a growing, dynamic firm. - Direct exposure to premier clients and senior executives in the financial technology space. - A close-knit, inclusive team culture where your contributions are recognized and valued. ## Equal Opportunity Employment FT Partners is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We welcome applications from all qualified individuals and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic. ## About Financial Technology Partners ## Core Business - **Primary industry/industries**: Investment banking, financial advisory, M&A, capital markets – exclusively focused on financial technology (FinTech). - **Target customers**: FinTech companies (from startups to large public firms) across all sub-sectors (payments, lending, insurance, blockchain, wealth management, etc.). - **Mission or purpose statement**: To provide world-class advisory services and help FinTech clients achieve best-in-class results through unmatched industry expertise and a dedicated focus. ## Products & Services - **M&A Advisory**: Sell-side and buy-side merger and acquisition advisory for FinTech companies. - **Capital Raising**: Private placements, IPOs, follow-on offerings, and debt financing for FinTech firms. - **Strategic Advisory**: Valuation, fairness opinions, and strategic planning for FinTech clients. - **Special Executions (SpecialX)**: A dedicated group focusing on complex or unique transactions, including data analytics and cross-border deals. - **Private Capital Markets**: Advising on private placements and growth equity. ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not publicly available (private partnership). - **Key Metric**: Over 20 years of exclusive FinTech focus; consistently ranked #1 FinTech investment bank by industry publications. - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Not applicable (FT Partners is the advisor, not a funded startup).
