These industries largely run on manual, repetitive, labor-heavy, error-prone operational processes. Runbook combines best-of-breed agent capabilities and a deployment platform designed for non-technical business process owners that enables hundreds of agents to be built with enterprise-grade reliability and control. Our first customers include Fortune 200 enterprises that had been unable to solve the target workflows for years, despite working with the best names in AI and hyperscaler platforms. No other solution came close to Runbook's, which went live in production in 2 weeks at 95%+ success rates. We've raised $15M in seed funding, and our founding team includes Obaid Khan (co-founder of Motive, scaled sales from $0 to $300M ARR) and Chris Ramesh (former AI Product Lead at Discord). ## About the Role This is an exciting role that sits at the intersection of two important pillars: how to deploy AI agents to take on end-to-end work that can decrease costs or drive revenue for a customer, and how to build a platform that makes it easy for non-technical operators to own these deployments. Your first responsibility will be driving outcomes for a customer using the Runbook platform. You'll work with Agent Operations and engineering to deliver agents that work, but this goes beyond shipping the first agent. You'll partner with customers as they transform their operations with AI and expand to additional workflows over time. Success is measured by real business impact. This is a forward-deployed role. Your second responsibility will be driving the success of the Runbook platform in the market. You'll leverage your front-row seat to our customers and work directly with the founders and engineering team to shape the vision and roadmap of the platform, ensuring the next n customers and deployments are successful. This tight feedback loop between customer deployments and platform is the secret behind our blazing-fast development speed. ## What You’ll do - Discovery: Partner directly with customers to understand their operational workflows, systems, and constraints, often embedding with their teams during deployment - Agent Design: Translate messy, real-world operations into scalable agent design: scope, success criteria, requirements, and an elegant agent configuration that gets the job done - Deployment ownership: Own deployments end-to-end, from initial discovery through go-live, production iteration, and results readouts - Customer Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them identify high-impact opportunities for expansion - Platform Innovation: Drive roadmap decisions and feature development that expand the capabilities of our platform and its usability for our non-technical deployment team ## Requirements - You bring the experience: 5+ years of experience in product development for highly technical products - You can scope and ship: You've worked in product management or a similar role that required both scoping and execution - You are a structured problem solver: You can lead strategy and translate business needs or challenges into a clear plan. You're comfortable identifying risks and navigating tradeoffs in live customer environments - You communicate clearly at multiple altitudes. You can juggle multiple deployments, drive execution, and lead workstreams through delivery and iteration with minimal oversight - You have high agency: Can juggle multiple deployments, drive execution, and lead workstreams through delivery and iteration with minimal oversight. - You are technically fluent: You have a strong grounding in software, product, and engineering concepts, so you can partner effectively with customers and internal teams to turn ideas into production agents Why Join Us? - Real customers, real complexity. We're live with large enterprise customers running complex operations. You'll build against actual problems at real scale, not hypotheticals - Experienced GTM CEO. Our CEO grew his last company to $300M+ ARR in this market, navigating both 0-to-1 and 1-to-10 - Production AI systems. AI is a generational shift, and we're building systems that need to run reliably, at scale, and at reasonable cost. Getting this experience now is career leverage - In-person in SF. Product, engineering, and sales in one room. Full transparency, real influence, and the energy of a small team that's completely locked in ## About Runbook ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Runbook builds AI agents that autonomously execute complex physical operations workflows—such as scheduling, vendor coordination, and accounts receivable—by integrating with existing systems and learning from a company’s own processes. - **Entity Type**: Private (Startup; no disclosed funding round) - **Headquarters**: San Francisco, California, United States - **Founded**: 2025 - **Founders**: Obaid Khan (CEO) and Chris Ramesh (Head of Product) ## Core Business - **Primary Industry**: Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain & Storage; also serves manufacturing and construction. - **Target Customers**: B2B, primarily mid-market and enterprise companies in physical operations (logistics providers, manufacturers, construction firms). - **Mission/Purpose**: To give teams back the time to focus on work that creates lasting advantage by automating the manual, repetitive work of the physical economy. ## Products & Services - **Runbook Autonomous Operations Platform**: An AI agent platform that handles workflows end‑to‑end. Agents reason through tasks like appointment scheduling, order ingestion, check‑call follow‑ups, vendor rate negotiation, and collections. They operate inside the customer’s existing stack (Outlook, ERP, TMS, etc.) with no rip‑and‑replace, and can be trained in plain English using SOPs and training docs. ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not publicly available. - **Key Metric**: Early stage; LinkedIn shows 9 employees with monthly headcount growth of +45.5%. - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Not disclosed in available sources. - **Growth Signals**: Active hiring for 4 founding‑level roles; claimed 70% cost reduction for live customers, 99% task success on production workflows, and ability to deploy agents in days rather than months. Website traffic grew +2268.7% month‑over‑month (2,724 monthly visits), indicating rising interest. ## Competitive Advantages - **End‑to‑End Autonomy**: Agents own the full workflow from first contact to system update, not just assisting humans. - **No‑Code Training**: Teams train agents in plain English using existing SOPs, training docs, and carrier rules—no engineering queues or vendor tickets. - **Rapid Deployment**: “Live in days, not months” and “~2 weeks” for a typical workflow. - **Full Audit Trail**: Every action, call, and decision is logged for compliance and oversight. - **Existing‑System Integration**: Works with APIs and systems‐without‐APIs (e.g., email, phone) so no migration is needed. ## Strategic Focus - Scale the platform to automate increasingly complex operations across logistics, manufacturing, and construction. - Continue refining agent accuracy and edge‑case handling through user feedback, aiming to reach and sustain 95%+ accuracy. - Expand the team to support growing customer demand (currently 4 open founding roles). ## Why Work Here - **Culture**: A small, agile team (9 people) that values direct communication, fast decision‑making, and hands‑on impact. Co‑founders and early team come from Airbnb, Moveworks, Carta, and Discord. - **Work Model**: Likely hybrid/remote; headquarters in San Francisco but team members in Pakistan as well. Roles listed in San Francisco and Los Angeles. - **Roles Available**: Founding Software Engineer, Engagement Manager, Agent Operations Lead, Founding Designer—ideal for someone who wants to shape the product and culture from the ground up. - **Engineering Culture**: Deep technical focus on AI agents, reasoning, and system integration. Engineers have ownership over end‑to‑end agent behavior and infrastructure. ## Sources 1. [myrunbook.com](https://www.myrunbook.com/) 2.
