The Opportunity: Miris is seeking exceptional and outcome-focused Applied Researchers at all levels to join our friendly and fully remote R&D team. You will navigate the fast-moving Gaussian splatting/radiance field research to find and adapt existing techniques and identify where to push beyond the bleeding edge to deliver exceptional immersive streaming experiences to low-powered mobile devices. This is an applied role; you will take ideas from the theoretical stage, through prototyping, and all the way to successful production rollout. You will work in a highly collaborative environment, closely partnering with our rendering engineers and cloud/content processing teams to build a seamless end-to-end system that transforms varied user inputs (photogrammetry, 3D models) into exceptional spatial experiences.
