This role focuses on PLC programming, system integration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production. ## Key Responsibilities Controls Design & Programming - Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and motion control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.). - Support integration of robotic systems (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa) and automated equipment. - Create and maintain electrical schematics, control narratives, and functional specifications. System Integration & Support - Assist with installation, commissioning, and startup of automated equipment. - Work with vendors and integrators during system builds, FAT, and site acceptance. - Interface with MES/SCADA systems and plant networks (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, OPC UA). Troubleshooting & Maintenance - Diagnose and resolve controls-related issues on the production floor. - Provide ongoing support to minimize downtime and improve system reliability. - Implement and maintain safety systems in compliance with standards. Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to improve cycle time, efficiency, and equipment performance. - Support data collection and basic analysis to improve OEE and reduce waste. - Participate in process improvements and equipment upgrades.
