Paddle offers digital product companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better. We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 6000 software sellers in 245 territories globally. ## THE ROLE: The Outbound BDR team is where pipeline gets built. As Team Leader, you'll be the person keeping it moving — close to the calls, close to the numbers, close to the people. It's a hands-on role with real ownership. You'll coach a team of BDRs to do their best work, translate targets into clear daily focus and work with your manager and peers in Sales and Marketing to make the whole operation sharper. What you learn on the front line will feed directly into how we improve. ## WHAT YOU'LL DO: - Own the team target and pipeline numbers, translating quarterly goals into clear weekly priorities and staying on top of what's working and what needs to change. - Coach your team through regular 1:1s, call reviews and messaging sessions, giving direct feedback that moves people forward and addressing performance issues early. - Stay hands-on with the actual work — reviewing calls, sequences and account strategies to understand what's driving results and where execution needs to improve. - Build an environment where BDRs feel genuinely supported — through honest development conversations, clear feedback and the kind of culture where people want to do their best work. - Work closely with AEs and Marketing peers on territory planning, account prioritisation and handoffs, sharing what you're seeing on the front line to sharpen how the team operates. - Own the onboarding of new BDRs — setting clear expectations from day one and providing the structured coaching they need to get productive quickly. WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU: - You've spent around 5 years in a commercial role and have some experience leading or managing a team. - You have a strong track record as a BDR or SDR and a genuine feel for what great outbound looks like in practice. - You've coached people before — and you're good at turning your own experience into something that works for others. - You're comfortable reading performance data and using it to make decisions, not just track activity. - You communicate directly, build trust quickly and give feedback people can actually do something with. - You work well with others and know when a problem needs more than just you. Everyone is welcome at Paddle At Paddle, we’re committed to removing invisible barriers, both for our customers and within our own teams. We recognise and celebrate that every Paddler is unique and we welcome every individual perspective. As an inclusive employer we don’t care if, or where, you studied, what you look like or where you’re from. We’re more interested in your craft, curiosity, passion for learning and what you’ll add to our culture. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t match every part of the job ad, especially if you’re part of an underrepresented group. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to better support you through the application process and in the workplace. We will do everything we can to support any accommodations needed. We’re committed to building a diverse team where everyone feels safe to be their authentic self. Let’s grow together. ## Our Values - Paddle Together - “None of us, is as smart as all of us” - Paddle Simply - “Simple can be harder than complex: you have to get your thinking clean to make it simple” - Paddle for others - “We can realise our wildest dreams, so long as we help enough other people to realise theirs” ## Why you’ll love working at Paddle We are a diverse, growing group of Paddlers across the globe who pride ourselves on our transparent, collaborative and respectful culture. We are a ‘digital-first’ company, which means you can work remotely, from one of our stylish hubs, or even a bit of both! We offer all team members unlimited holidays and 4 months paid family leave regardless of gender. We invest in learning and will help you with your personal development via constant exposure to new challenges, an annual learning fund, and regular internal and external training. ## About Paddle ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Paddle provides a complete payments, billing, tax, and compliance platform for SaaS and digital product businesses, acting as a Merchant of Record to simplify global selling. - **Entity Type**: Private (venture-backed) - **Headquarters**: London, England, UK - **Founded**: 2012 - **Founders**: Not publicly available ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: Fintech / Payments - **Target customers**: B2B SaaS companies, mobile app developers, and digital product businesses (SMB to Enterprise) - **Mission**: “We help digital product companies operate and grow, automatically.” [careers page] ## Products & Services - **Paddle Billing**: Fully managed subscription billing, payments, localized checkout, sales tax and regulatory compliance across 300+ markets (Merchant of Record model). - **ProfitWell Metrics**: Real-time subscription, retention, and growth analytics for digital businesses. - **Retain**: Automated revenue recovery – recovers failed payments, reduces cancellations, and optimizes subscriptions to protect revenue. ## Market Standing - **Valuation**: Not disclosed - **Key Metric**: Over 10,000 customers using Paddle; $6B+ in transactions processed; $130M in sales taxes remitted globally last year; 94% average payment acceptance rate [paddle.com] - **Notable Investors**: FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, 83North [builtin.com] - **Growth Signals**: Rapid expansion across global tech hubs (UK, US, Canada, Portugal, Ireland, Philippines); headcount growing (355 total employees per Built In, with many open engineering and commercial roles); customer base growing from 3,000 (earlier) to over 10,000. ## Competitive Advantages - Full Merchant of Record insurance and liability coverage, reducing compliance risk for customers - Handles tax compliance across 300+ markets globally – removes the need for customers to manage multiple registrations - Intelligent automation for billing, revenue optimization, and fraud prevention - Unified platform replaces a fragmented stack of payments, tax, and analytics tools ## Strategic Focus - Enable digital product businesses to scale globally without operational complexity - Continuously improve revenue performance through automation and data-driven insights (ProfitWell/Retain acquisitions) - Expand into new markets and deepen partnerships with SaaS platforms ## Why Work Here - **Work model**: Digital-first company with hub offices in London, New York, Toronto, and Austin; remote options available for many roles; flexible work from abroad up to 45 days/year (“Navigate” program). - **Perks & benefits**: Competitive compensation + share options; unlimited vacation; generous learning & development budget; 26 weeks paid leave for primary caregivers / 17 weeks for non-primary; private healthcare & mental health support; home workstation budget (standing desk, Herman Miller chair); transportation subsidies (train, cycle to work). - **Culture**: Values include “Paddle simply”, “Paddle for others”, and “Paddle together”; company retreats, happy hours, and inclusive events; strong engineering culture with roles across UK, Portugal, and Ireland. - **Growth**: Rapidly scaling company with clear career progression and exposure to complex infrastructure challenges. ## Sources 1.
