These microprocessors mimic the brain’s mechanisms for processing fast data streams from sensors, enabling complex turn-key sensor analytics functionalities, with 10,000x higher performance per watt than competing solutions. Innatera's technology serves as a critical enabler for next-generation use cases in the IoT, wearable, embedded, and automotive domains. Innatera is entering a stage of strategic global commercial expansion, and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to help scale our commercial execution. This role focuses on advancing our most promising existing opportunities down the funnel—driving customer engagement, building deal momentum, and converting priority leads into purchase and volume orders. You’ll work closely with the commercial team and collaborate cross-functionally across marketing, product, and engineering. The role requires comfort operating in a scale-up environment: high ownership, flexibility, and strong execution. We will trust you with: - Own and progress selected strategic opportunities through the funnel, from initial customer alignment to negotiation and close; - Prioritize and qualify inbound and outbound opportunities with a strong focus on conversion to purchase orders/volume orders; - Conduct high-value outbound business development (targeted outreach, tailored customer visits, follow-ups); - Build and maintain account plans for priority opportunities (stakeholders, decision process, milestones, next steps); - Lead customer conversations with both technical and business stakeholders, demonstrating a credible understanding of what is being sold; - Maintain market intelligence on competitors, partnerships, customer priorities, and emerging opportunities; - Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Marketing to align customer feedback with materials, positioning, and roadmap; - Represent Innatera in customer meetings and at events (travel expected ~20%); - Drive structured follow-through: clear next steps, internal alignment, and disciplined opportunity management. Your experience includes: - At least 5 years of proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or hybrid roles; - Experience in a technical selling environment, with the ability to understand and communicate relevant engineering context (either through an engineering education background or through demonstrably technical BD/sales experience); - Ability to explain complex products credibly and engage in technical discussions at a high level (not relying on others to translate core concepts); - Strong written/verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills; - Evidence of ownership: proactive follow-through, driving outcomes, and operating effectively in ambiguous environments; - Willingness and ability to travel to customers and events (~20%). Nice to have: - Engineering background at the undergraduate level; - Semiconductor industry experience (BD/sales in semiconductors strongly preferred); - Experience with embedded systems/edge AI markets; - German language skills. Whether you’re passionate about microarchitecture, excited by verification or physical design, driven by supporting operations, building strong teams, or mastering the details of accounting, we’d love to hear from you! If you're ready to shape the future of technology with us, click Apply and share your story. Innatera is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and experiences and are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other protected characteristics. If you require accommodations during the recruitment process, please let us know – we’re happy to support you. ## About Innatera Nanosystems ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Innatera develops ultra-low-power neuromorphic processors that bring brain-like intelligence to sensors at the edge. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series A-II) - **Headquarters**: Rijswijk, Netherlands (Patrijsweg 20, 2289 EX) - **Founded**: 2018 - **Founders**: Sumeet Kumar (CEO), Amir Zjajo (CSO), Rene van Leuken (CAO), Uma Mahesh (Managing Director – India) ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: Neuromorphic semiconductors / Edge AI hardware - **Target customers**: OEMs and system integrators in consumer electronics, industrial IoT, wearables, robotics, and smart home sectors (B2B, deep-tech) - **Mission**: "Make a billion sensors intelligent by 2030" – enabling ambient intelligence where every device is seamlessly smart, safe, and efficient. ## Products & Services - **Spiking Neural Processor T1**: A neuromorphic AI accelerator unveiled at CES 2024, using spiking neural networks (SNNs) on an analog-mixed signal architecture for ultra-low-power, real-time sensor processing. - **Pulsar (Neuromorphic Microcontroller)**: Launched in 2025 as the world’s first mass-market neuromorphic microcontroller for the sensor edge; won Best-in-Show at COMPUTEX 2025 in the Microcontrollers, Microprocessors & IP category. - **Spiking Compute Fabric (Analog + Digital)**: A core technology platform combining analog and digital compute for event-driven, privacy-preserving AI at the edge. - **CNN Accelerator**: Efficient dense inference engine for familiar AI models within tight edge power budgets. - **RISC-V CPU Subsystem**: Flexible control and system orchestration integrated with neuromorphic cores. - **Multiple sensor interfaces**: Supports ADC, QSPI, UART, I2S, I2C, CPI, PDM for broad sensor integration. ## Market Standing - **Total Funding**: $27.22M (as per CB Insights) - **Last Raised**: $19.8M oversubscribed Series A extension (June 2024), following a €15M Series A (March 2024) - **Seed Round**: €5M led by MIG and btov/ITF - **Notable Investors/Partners**: MIG Capital, btov Partners, IT-Fonds, European Innovation Council (EIC Accelerator grant/equity), Intel Ignite (Fall ’21 cohort) - **Board Chair**: Alberto Sangiovanni-Vincentelli (renowned EDA pioneer) - **Growth Signals**: - Deployed in real-world applications by Aaroh Labs, Cyran AI Solutions and more - Won Best-in-Show at COMPUTEX 2025 - Selected for EIC Accelerator support - 100+ employees across 15 countries (as of 2025) - 70+ engineers on the team ## Competitive Advantages - **Neuromorphic architecture**: Uses spiking neural networks with analog-mixed signal computing, enabling 100-1000x lower power than traditional digital AI chips for always-on sensor processing. - **Privacy-first edge intelligence**: All processing happens on-device, eliminating cloud dependency for latency-critical and privacy-sensitive applications. - **First-mover in mass-market neuromorphic MCUs**: Pulsar is positioned as the world’s first mass-market neuromorphic microcontroller, giving them a unique market position. - **Deep academic roots**: Spin-out from Delft University of Technology after a decade of neuromorphic research, with strong IP and scientific foundation. - **Board leadership**: Alberto Sangiovanni-Vincentelli brings world-class semiconductor credibility. ## Strategic Focus - **Scale mass production**: Using the Series A extension to drive high-volume manufacturing of the T1 and Pulsar chips. - **Expand real-world deployments**: Growing partnerships with solution providers in consumer, industrial, and medical verticals. - **Talent acquisition**: Actively hiring senior engineers (CPU architecture, SoC verification, SDK, field application) to build out global teams. - **Global presence**: Operating across the Netherlands, India (Managing Director), and targeting US market with field application roles. ## Why Work Here - **Culture**: "Driven by Curiosity.
