Manufacturing accounts for almost 20% of the global economy and one in every seven workers on Earth, yet remains among the least digitized. More than a decade ago, we created the category to close that gap: AI-native software that puts cutting-edge tools directly in the hands of the people on the manufacturing front lines. Because we are human-centered and tech-obsessed, we are building a future of work where human ingenuity is amplified with the latest technology. In January 2026 we became one of Boston's few new AI unicorns, reaching a $1.3B valuation. We're growing double digits in revenue year over year. The world's best manufacturers run on Tulip - turning inventory 10x faster, releasing gene therapies in hours instead of weeks, and training master craftspeople to forge engagement rings 5x more rapidly. Headquartered in Somerville, MA with offices in Germany, Hungary, Singapore, Japan, and Israel, we've been consistently named a World Economic Forum Global Innovator, a Gartner leader, and one of Built In Boston's "Best Places to Work." We run the way we build: AI-forward, humanistic, and high ownership. We're looking for builders who are energized by complex problems, rapid cycles, and the unique opportunity to see their impact on a global scale. About the Role: Tulip is scaling its APAC Sales organization, and this BDR will join a sales pod in Singapore, co-owning a target account list across broader APACregion alongside an Account Executive. This isn't a lead-handoff role - you'll stay connected to accounts from first touch through advanced stages, building real relationships with senior operations and engineering leaders. Tulip's platform is used by companies like AstraZeneca, Cartier, and Stanley Black and Decker to digitize shop floor operations, replace paper-based quality processes, and build composable MES solutions without code. The buyers you'll be talking to are plant managers, VPs of Quality, and Operations Directors - people solving real problems in complex environments, and you'll need to understand their world well enough to earn the conversation. About You: You have a background in sales, business development, or operations, and you're ready to build a career on the commercial side of industrial tech. You're drawn to substantive conversations with senior operations and engineering leaders, energized by results rather than activity metrics, and curious about how manufacturers actually buy and implement new technology. This role builds on the foundation you've already started: you'll bring your account ownership instincts and technical curiosity, take on more of the account relationship, and within 24 months develop the foundation in enterprise sales with a path to an Account Executive role. What skills do I need? - 1-3+ years of BDR/SDR or B2B SaaS sales experience, with a track record of consistent pipeline generation - Fluent in English: you'll run calls and write sequences in English - Clear, confident communicator who can hold a substantive conversation with senior operations or engineering leaders - Comfortable independently multi-threading accounts and owning account strategy within your pod, not just handing off after first touch - Self-directed and outcomes-focused; motivated by resultsExperience with CRM (Salesforce) or sales engagement tools (Amplemarket, Outreach, ZoomInfo, etc.) ## Nice to have - Familiarity with manufacturing environments — MES, ERP, quality systems, or shop floor operations - Prior experience selling into enterprise industrial or manufacturing accounts - MEDDPIC proficiency Key Responsibilities: - Run targeted outbound for top APAC target accounts, using signals and AI agents to prioritize and personalize outreach - Qualify inbound leads and run discovery calls, converting qualified leads to opportunities - Own account momentum — independently multi-thread contacts within open opportunities and sustain deal momentum post-handoff - Book and run meetings with key personas at target accounts, including platform overviews and introductory demos - Participate in pipeline reviews for target accounts; surface objection patterns and account intelligence to Account Executives and Revenue Marketing - Support onboarding of newer BDRs on account strategy and territory approach - Maintain accurate Salesforce records on all accounts and opportunities you touch Key Collaborators: - Account Executives and Sales Leaders - BDR Lead and BDR team - Revenue Marketing and Product Marketing Career Growth & Development - This role is designed as a foundation for a long-term career in software sales. You'll receive hands-on coaching, structured training, and ongoing mentorship to build the skills needed to succeed in a future commercial role - As you develop, you'll gain exposure to every stage of the enterprise sales cycle by partnering closely with Account Executives, Sales Leadership, Marketing, and Customer Success. - High-performing BDRs have the opportunity to grow into a variety of commercial roles over time, including Account Executive, Partner Management, Customer Success, and other customer-facing positions, based on business needs and individual performance. - At Tulip, we invest in developing our talent. We view the BDR team as an important source of future commercial leaders and are committed to helping team members build the capabilities and experience needed to advance their careers.
