At Zero Homes, we operate on a simple premise: when you make contractors successful, homeowners win. The current home services industry is fragmented, complex, and opaque, which is frustrating for homeowners and exhausting for contractors. We are changing this by building a home upgrade marketplace that enables a simple, central, transparent process for homeowners and contractors to complete projects. Through our platform we handle design, quoting, procurement, and customer service, allowing our contractor network to focus on what they do best and make them money: delivering projects. For homeowners, this delivers a predictable, high-quality, and transparent experience, transforming home upgrades from a source of anxiety into a seamless experience. Our vision is to create a world where homeowners and contractors in all 50 states can leverage our platform to execute thousands of projects every week within the next 36 months. We work by a clear set of values: Be a "can kid," not a "can't kid": We own our outcomes and go to extraordinary lengths to solve problems. Go fast, be clear: Speed is our advantage, and we sweat the details to deliver an extraordinary customer experience. Customer & Contractor Obsessed: We have a deep, personal understanding of the work to be done. We stay curious about our contractors' craft and the stories of our homeowners. Win, as a team: We are building an iconic business that will reinvent the industry, and will do so together. If you are ready to build a world-class consumer experience that genuinely rebuilds American communities, come build with us. ## About the Role & Your Impact We're looking for a Business Operations Analyst, Planning to own Zero's view of the future: what we'll sell, what we can deliver, and what we need to deliver it. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Business Operations, you'll build the demand forecasts and capacity plans that determine where we put our people, our contractor capacity, and our capital. This is not a spreadsheet-maintenance role. It's a thinking role that requires a deep understanding of the underlying business. Every market has its own demand curve, its own programs, and its own contractor bench, and getting thousands of projects a week means keeping demand and supply in balance across all of them. Your job is to see the constraint before it finds us, put a number on it, and give leadership a plan they can act on. ## What You'll Do Demand Planning - Own the demand forecast by market, channel, and program, built from real drivers: lead rates, close rates, install rates, and signed backlog. - Incorporate the levers that move volume: pricing, marketing spend, advisor staffing, program launches, and new market entry. - Monitor leading and lagging indicators to assess performance against plan, and flag when the forecast, or the modeling logic itself, needs to change. - Proactively manage short- and long-term growth targets, with clear reporting to leadership on how we're tracking. Supply & Capacity Planning - Translate demand into supply requirements: contractor install capacity by market, and equipment quantities and timing. - Find the constraint before it finds us: know where capacity, equipment, or program funding will bind next, and quantify what it costs us. - Model capacity and readiness for new markets, programs, and product launches so we commit with our eyes open. - Partner with Fulfillment and Supply Chain to keep the plan grounded in what our contractor network and distributors can actually absorb. Sales & Operations Planning - Run the S&OP cadence that reconciles demand, capacity, and procurement across Sales, Fulfillment, and Finance. - Surface risks and propose solutions to leadership; you own the forecast, which means you own the miss, not just the spreadsheet. - Partner with Finance on scenario analysis for our biggest decisions: new markets, pricing changes, program participation, and growth investments. Planning Systems & Data Foundations - Build a modern, AI-enabled planning stack: automate models to improve accuracy and kill manual work as the business scales. - Document forecast methods, assumptions, and drivers so plans are transparent and reproducible. - Leverage AI tools to compress the time between question, model, and answer. ## What You Bring - 2-5 years in supply/demand planning, business operations, consulting, or a data-heavy analytical role, ideally at a high-growth company. - Deep analytical horsepower: you're rigorous with numbers (ideally with a formal math background), fast in spreadsheets, and skeptical by default. - Comfort managing a high degree of complexity across markets, programs, and product lines without losing the thread. - Business sense beyond the numbers: you understand how funnels, field operations, and physical capacity actually work. - Structured communication skills: you can present a plan to leadership, defend your assumptions, and land a recommendation. - Accountability for a forecast: you'd rather be honestly wrong and recalibrate than vaguely right. - You've AI-enabled yourself to move fast across whatever stack you land in. ## Nice to Have - Experience in home services, energy, construction tech, marketplaces, or businesses with physical operations. - Experience with demand forecasting, capacity planning, or S&OP. - Familiarity with SQL, Python, or R for analysis. - Experience supporting annual planning, budgeting, or board-level planning materials. ## About Zero Homes ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Zero Homes provides a fully digital platform for residential heat pump and HVAC upgrades, combining virtual home assessments, engineering-driven design, transparent pricing, and a vetted local installer network. - **Entity Type**: Private (venture-backed, Series A) - **Headquarters**: Denver, Colorado, United States - **Founded**: 2022 (official company listing; every design is proprietary and certified. - **End-to-end project management**: One point of contact from assessment to install, including rebate paperwork and permits — contractors gain a streamlined workflow and homeowners gain a single touchpoint. - **Vetted contractor network**: Every installer is independently licensed, bonded, and insured; Zero follows up if issues arise. ## Strategic Focus - **Market expansion** into new U.S. states beyond the current five. - **Broader product offerings** beyond heat pumps (e.g., broader HVAC and home electrification upgrades). - **Growing the contractor network** to scale installation capacity while maintaining quality. - **Deepening utility partnerships** (e.g., the Xcel Energy NRR pilot) to unlock more rebate programs for homeowners. ## Why Work Here - **Mission-driven culture**: Work directly on climate impact — electrifying homes and reducing carbon emissions; founded by an MIT/NASA engineer with a background in the trades. - **Virtual-first, but anchored in Denver**: The company describes itself as “virtual-first,” yet the headquarters is in Denver and many roles (e.g., Insights Manager, Director of People, System Designer) are listed as on-site or hybrid in Denver. - **Current open roles** (as of Sep 2026): Product Manager, Senior Full Stack Engineer, Mobile Engineer, Senior Program Manager – Utilities, Customer Success Coordinator, Growth Marketing Manager, Product Marketer, and more. - **Small, growing team** (~50 people) with a fast pace and direct impact on product and operations. - **Culture signals**: Rated 3.8/5.0 on LinkedIn (work-life, compensation, culture all 3.8). Emphasis on autonomy, transparent pricing, and quality. ## Sources 1. [zerohomes.com/about](https://www.zerohomes.com/about) 2. [zerohomes.com](https://www.zerohomes.com/) 3.
