Our infrastructure powers card programs for 100+ innovative clients, from fintechs reimagining credit and digital banking to platforms transforming disbursements and spend management. Companies like Mercury, Flex, and Novo rely on Lithic's developer-friendly APIs, direct network connections, and flawless reconciliation to launch and scale card programs in weeks, not years. We're building a future where access to better financial products materially improves people's lives, free from the constraints of 30-year-old mainframes and legacy processors. We're proud to be backed by world-class investors who share that vision, including Bessemer Venture Partners, Index Ventures, Spark Capital, Stripes, and Mastercard, along with many others. We're a team of 170+ across 26 states and 7 countries, headquartered in New York City. Lithic is hiring for Business Operations, Program Management: a generalist role dedicated to the Program Management (PM) business line, where Lithic owns the bank relationship, handles compliance, and runs the client's card program end to end. We're expanding Program Management this year, and this person will build and run how it operates day to day, meaning the processes, reporting, and coordination across teams that today happen informally. This is a chance to build real depth in how sponsor bank partnerships and card programs work, in payments and fintech more broadly, while working directly with the Head of Program Management. Job responsibilities: - Own how PM operates day to day, meaning the process, tooling, and reporting that let the business actually be run and measured - Take on cross-functional projects that touch Risk, Compliance, Bank Operations, Legal, Sales, and Product, and see them through to a result, not just a status update - Assist in building and launching new PM initiatives from concept to completion, whether that's a new bank partnership, a new product construct, or a new managed-service offering - Build the reporting PM needs and doesn't currently have - Turn ad hoc process into something documented and repeatable, and find the parts worth automating - Be the person other teams come to with PM operational questions Qualifications: - 4+ years in consulting, banking, fintech, or business operations - A generalist who's comfortable owning ambiguous, cross-functional work without a playbook to follow - Experience building processes from scratch and achieved results through strong stakeholder partnership rather than mandate - Strong analytically; can stand up metrics and reporting from nothing - Experience running cross-functional projects involving both internal teams and outside parties - Payments or fintech operations background (sponsored bank programs, BaaS, issuer processing) is a plus, not required - Experience or strong interest in utilizing AI automation tooling to improve workflows The annual U.S. salary range for this role is $75,000 - $100,000 plus equity. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Lithic and will be narrowed during the interview process based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. This is a hybrid position. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance to our NYC office in Soho. We do not offer visa sponsorship or assistance. Benefits for Full-Time US Employees: - Unlimited PTO - 12-weeks fully paid parental leave - 4-Week Fully Paid Sabbatical (earned at your 5-year anniversary) - Work From Anywhere: work from anywhere in the world 4-weeks each year - 3% cashback on card purchases with your complimentary [Privacy.com](http://Privacy.com) employee account - Health, vision, and dental insurance; HSA Contribution Match - 401(k) match - Voluntary Life Insurance and STD/LTD NYC-based employees work from our SoHo office three days a week. Tuesdays and Thursdays are our core days, and you'll choose a third day that works for your schedule and team needs. In-office employees receive: - Commuter benefit - Catered lunch every Tuesday and Thursday ## About Lithic ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Lithic provides a modern, developer-friendly card issuing and money movement platform that enables fintechs, banks, and software companies to launch and scale debit, credit, and prepaid card programs. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series C, $115.4M total funding) - **Headquarters**: New York, New York, United States - **Founded**: 2014 (as Privacy.com); Lithic spun out in 2021 - **Founders**: Bo Jiang (CEO), David Nichols (CDO), Jason Kruse (CTO) ## Core Business - Primary industry: Payments infrastructure / Card issuing processing - Target customers: B2B – fintech companies, digital banks, software companies, and enterprises launching card programs - Mission: “Access to better financial products materially improves people’s lives.” Focus on replacing legacy issuer processors with a modern, API-first stack. ## Products & Services - **Card Issuing Platform**: Programmable APIs for issuing debit, credit, and prepaid cards (virtual and physical) with features like instant issuance, tokenization, and custom card printing. - **Money Movement**: ACH and wire transfers, multi-currency support, precise debit/credit ledgers, and settlement APIs. - **Risk & Fraud Mitigation**: End-to-end disputes and chargeback resolution, identity verification, tokenization control, and configurable fraud rules. - **Compliance & Program Management**: SOC 1 Type 1, SOC 2 Type 2, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001 certified; optional managed services for bank/network/regulatory compliance. - **Developer Tools**: Well-documented APIs, sandbox environment, and dashboard for real-time monitoring and configuration. ## Market Standing - **Valuation**: Not publicly disclosed - **Key Metric**: $115.4M total funding (Seed, Series A, B, C); annual revenue estimated at $10M (LinkedIn, as of 2025) - **Notable Investors**: Index Ventures (seed lead), Teamworthy Ventures (Series A lead), Bessemer Venture Partners (Series B lead), Stripes (Series C lead) - **Growth Signals**: 130 employees (+19.3% YoY), 100+ clients processing billions in transactions, recognition on CB Insights Fintech 250 (2022), Tearsheet Embedded Awards Best Card Issuing Platform (2022), GGV Capital Fintech Innovation Top 50 (2023 & 2024) ## Competitive Advantages - **Developer-first API**: Built by engineers who experienced legacy processor pain; focus on speed-to-market, no scheduled downtime, and 99.99%+ uptime. - **Direct network connections**: Direct links to card networks and Federal Reserve, enabling flawless reconciliation and reliability. - **Modular service options**: Clients can choose full program management or a self-service “Processor Client” model, retaining their own bank relationships. - **Security & compliance**: SOC/PCI/ISO certifications with no scheduled downtime – rare in payments infrastructure. ## Strategic Focus - Scale globally by expanding into new geographies and multi-currency capabilities. - Deepen integrations with banks and networks to offer more flexibility (e.g., Visa’s latest API for faster cardholder upgrades). - Continue building out the platform to handle higher transaction volumes and more complex use cases (credit, disbursements, digital banking). ## Why Work Here - **Culture**: Values include “Iterate,” “Customer Centricity,” “Deliver Excellence,” and “Act Like an Owner.” High autonomy and ownership expected. - **Remote-friendly**: Remote-first policy with a strong Slack culture (1,000+ custom emojis).
