## Job description

Our employee-owned team of multi-disciplined engineering and design professionals is looking for a CAD Designer / Technician who is excited to support the design of various transportation projects.

As a member of our team, you will work alongside other professionals to develop designs for highways, interchanges, roundabouts, and other roadway features in coordination with a multi-discipline team that also includes Traffic, Utility, and Water Resource Engineering.

Flexible work arrangements will be provided (3 days in office / 2 days WFH). This is an evergreen posting designed to identify and engage with talent for potential future opportunities. Required Qualifications

- Associate’s Degree or Certification in Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Previous experience or formal training CADD design/drafting (using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, ORD).
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to participate in project team meetings and interact directly with technical professionals and clients on a frequent basis.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, etc.).

Advantageous Qualifications

- Thorough understanding of drafting techniques, plan development, quantity takeoffs, and related engineering practices.
- Previous coursework or project assignments with an emphasis on roadway / highway design.
- Experience in the development of project deliverables including geometric layouts, design plans, and/or the generation and use of 3-dimensional design models.
- Knowledge of MnDOT standards and specifications.
