Salary Range: $24.41 - $27.83 hourly Bargaining Unit: Support Appointment Type: Non-Regular On-Call Schedule: Monday to Friday; 2:00PM - 9:30PM *Shifts may vary based on operational need. Posting Closing Date: Open Until Filled Special Instructions to Applicants: Shortlisted internal candidates must notify the current Support Staff Bargaining Chairperson and People Services if they want a Union Observer during interviews and final selection of candidates. ## Your Opportunity Under the general supervision of the Manager, Custodial Services, provides routine cleaning and maintenance service and performs other related duties as required Functions and Duties 1. Cleans classrooms, offices, washrooms, hallways, and other surfaces by: - wet mopping; - washing, scrubbing; - stripping, seal waxing and polishing floors; - removing stains on carpeting and performing shampoo procedures when required; - vacuuming, dusting. 1. Maintains furniture and equipment in an orderly, clean and safe manner. 2. Maintains building security. 3. Maintains a stock of janitorial supplies for assigned area. 4. Removes snow from steps and walkways. 5. Maintains current skillset by attending instructional courses provided by the College. 6. Performs other duties related as required. Education and Experience Completion Secondary School (Grade 10), and a Custodial Worker certificate.
