Our team has deep experience building large systems that serve hundreds of millions of users, and we’re bringing that same level of rigor to a rapidly evolving AI inference space. Our mission is to make advanced AI available to people and teams everywhere. We’re an early, tight-knit team where you can influence product direction, try bold ideas, and drive meaningful work forward quickly. If you want to join a fast-growing company at a defining moment, we’d love to talk. DeepInfra is backed by leading investors including A.Capital, Felicis, 500 Global, Georges Harik, Samsung Next, Supermicro, Upper90, Peak6, SVAngel and Nvidia. ## Role Overview We are looking for a Corporate Controller to own accounting, reporting, and financial operations at DeepInfra. Our business combines high-volume, usage-based revenue with large, long-term infrastructure commitments — GPUs, data center colocation, power, and compute capacity — and you’ll build the accounting foundation that keeps both accurate, auditable, and ready to scale. You’ll own the global close, lead audit and tax readiness, build an enterprise-grade financial systems stack, and establish the accounting policies and controls needed as the business grows. You’ll work closely with our co-founders, Engineering, and Finance. We’re looking for someone technically strong in accounting, highly organized, comfortable operating across both detail and strategy, and excited to build. ## What You’ll Do Financial Close & General Ledger - Global Close: Own the global accounting close process and continuously improve accuracy, efficiency, and close cycle time. Consumption & Usage-Based Revenue Accounting - Automated Reconciliations: Partner with Engineering to build robust, automated reconciliations between Stripe and invoicing systems, metered token databases, and deferred revenue schedules. Hardware, Lease & Infrastructure Accounting - Infrastructure Policies: Establish accounting policies and schedules for major infrastructure spend, including GPU purchases, long-term data center colocation agreements, power commitments, and cloud compute capacity reservations. Audit & Tax Readiness - Financial Statement Audits: Lead the preparation and execution of independent financial statement audits, starting with our first-year audit. - Tax Compliance: Manage corporate tax filings, R&D tax credit studies, sales and use tax compliance across U.S. states and international jurisdictions, and transfer pricing. Financial Systems Architecture - ERP Implementation: Lead the implementation of and migration to an enterprise-grade ERP (e.g., NetSuite), integrating billing pipelines (Stripe/Orb/Metronome), accounts payable automation, and payroll systems. Treasury & Working Capital - Cash & Banking: Oversee cash management, banking relationships, corporate card programs, and accounts payable. - Working Capital: Manage working capital with a focus on large infrastructure vendor commitments and disbursements. Internal Controls & Compliance - Controls & Governance: Design, document, and enforce financial internal controls and governance policies appropriate for a fast-scaling technology company preparing for enterprise procurement diligence and SOC 1/SOC 2 reviews. ## What You Bring - Experience: 8+ years of relevant accounting experience, with meaningful ownership of accounting operations in a high-growth or complex business environment. Public accounting and technology company experience are strong pluses. - Technical Accounting: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition under ASC 606 and lease accounting under ASC 842. Experience with usage-based, consumption, or prepaid revenue models is a strong plus. - Global Accounting: Experience managing accounting across multiple entities, jurisdictions, or currencies, including consolidation and intercompany activity. - Audit & Controls: Experience leading or supporting financial statement audits and designing scalable internal controls and accounting processes. - Infrastructure Accounting: Experience with fixed assets, leases, CapEx, or other significant long-term commitments; experience in infrastructure or another capital-intensive business is a plus. - Systems Builder: Experience implementing, migrating, or significantly improving ERP and financial systems, with the ability to partner effectively with technical teams on systems and data integrations. - Builder Mentality: Comfortable operating hands-on in an evolving environment — building processes where they don’t yet exist while creating the foundation for a finance organization that can scale. ## How We Work Three traits define the people who thrive here, and this role leans on all three. Initiative. We take ownership and step in where we can add value. Whether it’s starting something new, improving what exists, or helping move ideas forward, we aim to be proactive and thoughtful in how we contribute. Drive. We’re energized by hard problems. Building AI infrastructure is complex, and we lean into that. We care about doing things well, moving fast, and continuously improving — because solving meaningful challenges is what motivates us. Grit. Things don’t always work on the first try — and that’s expected. We stay persistent, adapt quickly, and learn as we go. We take setbacks seriously, but not personally, and use them to get better. ## About Deep Infra Inc. ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: DeepInfra operates a purpose-built AI inference cloud that provides developer-friendly APIs for running open-source and proprietary machine learning models at scale. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series B) - **Headquarters**: Palo Alto, California, United States - **Founded**: September 2022 - **Founders**: Nikola Borisov (CEO), Georgios Papoutsis, and Yessenzhar Kanapin ## Core Business - **Primary industry/industries**: Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Infrastructure - **Target customers**: B2B; startups, enterprises, and developers needing high-throughput, low-latency AI model inference. - **Mission or purpose statement**: To provide a reliable, non-lock-in inference provider built on open-source models, giving companies full control over their AI stack with purpose-built, inference-optimized infrastructure from the GPU hardware layer up to the API. ## Products & Services - **DeepInfra Inference API**: A developer-friendly, OpenAI-compatible API offering access to over 100 open-source and proprietary models (including GLM-5.3-Flash, Kimi K3). Features pay-as-you-go pricing with no long-term contracts. - **Private GPU Clusters**: Dedicated NVIDIA B300 GPU clusters for enterprise customers, available on 5-year terms at significantly below-market rates (e.g., $1.98/GPU-hr vs. $6.50/GPU-hr on public cloud). Scales from 256 to 5,000 GPUs. - **Custom Model Hosting**: A service allowing customers to deploy their own models on DeepInfra’s optimized infrastructure. ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not publicly disclosed for the Series B round. - **Key Metric (Funding)**: Total funding of approximately **$153.6M** across 5 rounds, according to LinkedIn.
