We were part of Y Combinator in 2021 and raised a $2M seed round shortly after. Our culture is defined by high ownership, a bias for action, tenacious problem-solving, and striving to be 1% better every day. ## About the Role We're looking for a high-impact Creative Lead, Growth to serve as the core architect of our performance engine. We are at a stage of explosive growth, and we need someone to bridge the gap between high-level creative vision and rigorous data analysis. You aren't just drafting briefs; you are building the systems, managing the workflow, and directing the strategy that drives our revenue. You will oversee a talented team of three Creative Strategists, a Video Editor, a Graphic Designer, and a Creator Partnerships Manager. This is a high-impact role for someone who is equal parts data-obsessed analyst, social media visionary, and master project manager. ## What You’ll Do - Team & Pipeline Management: Own the weekly creative pipeline end-to-end. You will decide what gets made, ensure deadlines are hit, and continuously raise the bar by delivering clear, direct feedback that improves output quality across the team. - Performance Partnership: Work closely with our Media Buyer to turn performance data into creative direction. You will identify winning patterns, diagnose fatigue, and drive the next wave of concepts based on real signals—not guesses. - Creator & Influencer Strategy: Build and scale our creator engine. You will define what “good” looks like, improve creator selection, sharpen briefs, and implement systems that increase output quality while reducing turnaround time and cost. - System Architecture: Design and refine the systems that power the creative team. This includes briefing frameworks, naming conventions, tracking systems, and feedback loops that make performance insights actionable and repeatable. - Creative Strategy & Oversight: Set the direction for what we test and why. You will review and approve key creative outputs, ensuring every ad has a strong hook, clear angle, and a specific hypothesis behind it. - Creative Iteration & Learning Loops: Build tight feedback loops between performance and production. You will run post-mortems, identify patterns in winning and losing ads, and translate those insights into clear next steps for the team. ## Who You Are - Taste & Judgment: You have strong instincts for what works in paid social. You can quickly identify weak hooks, generic concepts, and missed opportunities—and clearly explain how to improve them. - Systems Thinker: You naturally turn chaos into structure. You don’t just produce great work—you build processes that allow others to do the same consistently. - Data Fluent: You are comfortable working with performance data (Meta, TikTok, Motion, etc.) and use it to guide decisions. You think in hypotheses, testing, and iteration. - Operator Mentality: You take extreme ownership and are willing to get into the work when needed—editing, scripting, recording, or fixing bottlenecks to keep things moving. - Non-Traditional Background: You may come from UGC, content creation, or performance marketing—but you’ve built a strong intuition for what converts. You are not a traditional brand marketer. - Proven Experience: 2+ years in performance creative, paid social, or content roles where your work directly impacted metrics like CTR, CPA, or conversion rate. ## Compensation & Career Path We are looking for a long-term partner and are flexible with how we start. This role is currently open on a part-time contract basis with the potential to scale into a core full-time member of the Bree team. Initial Contract Terms - Rate: $50 – $70 per hour (commensurate with experience) - Commitment: 10 – 20 hours per week to start Full-Time Conversion & Benefits For candidates who transition into a permanent full-time role, we offer a competitive package designed for high-performance talent: - 💰Base Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 annually - ⚕️Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits plan - 🖥 $1,500 annual learning & home-office stipend - 🧘🏼 $1,000 annual wellness stipend - 🍔 Monthly Lunch Stipend - 🚼Paid Parental leave - 🏝20 annual PTO days + unlimited sick days ## About Bree ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Bree is a Canadian consumer finance platform that provides interest‑free cash advances (up to $750) along with a budgeting tool and financial wellness content to help people avoid overdraft fees. - **Entity Type**: Private (backed by Y Combinator S21; venture‑funded) - **Headquarters**: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (also offices in Vancouver, BC; United States; Philippines; Vietnam) - **Founded**: 2021 - **Founders**: Adam Kang and Alexander Li ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: Consumer finance / Fintech - **Target customers**: B2C – Canadians living paycheck‑to‑paycheck, especially those at risk of overdraft - **Mission/purpose statement**: “To help Canadians move towards financial wellness” with no interest, no mandatory fees, and a community‑supported model. ## Products & Services - **Cash Advance (Flagship)**: Interest‑free cash advances from $20 up to $750, with 0% APR.
