As AI accelerates software development, teams need a reliable way to verify that their products work. Engineering teams at Notion, Webflow, Xero and Whatnot use Momentic to ship with confidence. We’re hiring a Customer Success Engineer to own strategic relationships, customer success, and renewal readiness for our enterprise and selected medium-touch customers. We’re looking for someone who combines technical depth with strong strategic account judgment: you can earn an engineer’s trust, lead a conversation with an executive sponsor, and turn an ambiguous customer problem into a plan that gets delivered. You’ll report to the CEO and work closely with customer engineering organizations, our Solutions Engineers, Sales, and Engineering to help customers realize measurable value from Momentic. From post-implementation adoption through renewal, you’ll own the account plan, build relationships across the organization, and keep the right people aligned on what success looks like. You’ll keep a clear, current view of each account’s adoption, delivered value, and risks so customers and teammates can make informed decisions. ## What you’ll do - Own our most strategic customer relationships. Build trust with executive sponsors, engineering leaders, technical champions, and day-to-day users. Understand their priorities and decision-making process, and keep stakeholders aligned. - Turn adoption into measurable value. Create success plans with clear goals, milestones, and owners. Lead quarterly business reviews and annual planning sessions that connect testing coverage, suite health, and adoption to customer objectives. - Lead technical adoption and customer projects. Translate customer needs into requirements and execution plans. Get hands-on to identify blockers and guide customers, coordinate with Solutions Engineering and Engineering to resolve issues, and bring actionable customer feedback into the product. - Own renewal readiness and customer risk. Identify changes in usage, engagement, sponsorship, or delivered value early. Lead plans to address risk, demonstrate customer value, and partner with Sales on the commercial renewal process. - Build the tools to run strategic accounts. Connect customer, contract, and product usage data into practical dashboards and workflows. Use AI to automate reporting, surface risks, and identify where to act, so you can spend more time driving customer outcomes. Build scalable workflows for smaller, low-touch accounts rather than relying on manual account management. You’re perfect for this role if… - You’ve owned complex strategic accounts for a technical product, built trusted relationships from practitioners to executive sponsors, and delivered customer outcomes through difficult conversations. - You have an engineering background or, at minimum, a computer science degree, with demonstrated hands-on coding and debugging ability. You can work credibly with engineers and engineering leaders, learn an unfamiliar product, and reason through testing, CI/CD, and adoption challenges. Experience working with developer-tools customers is strongly preferred. - You’re strategic and numbers-oriented. You can turn usage and technical results into a business case and account plan, and use that evidence to identify and manage renewal risk. - You’re organized, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity. You can turn an unclear customer problem into a concrete outcome and lead cross-functional work without formal authority. - You’ve built CS tooling, dashboards, templates, or operating processes at an early-stage company. You use AI to build tools and automate workflows that improve account analysis, reporting, and customer management, and apply sound judgment to the outputs. - You’re based in San Francisco or willing to relocate, and can work from our office five days a week. Nice to haves - Experience with automated testing, observability, or infrastructure. - Experience in forward deployed engineering, developer success engineering, or field engineering. - Consulting experience leading technical projects and managing senior client stakeholders. ## About us - Raised $18.7M, including a $15M Series A, with backing from Standard Capital, Y Combinator, FCVC, Transpose Platform, and Dropbox Ventures. - A team of 17 and growing. - Based in San Francisco at 650 5th Street. ## Benefits - Medical, dental, and vision insurance. - 401(k). - Unlimited PTO and sick days, plus company-observed US holidays. - Daily lunch and a fully stocked kitchen. - Commuter benefits. - Team offsites and events. ## About Momentic ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Momentic is an AI-native testing platform that enables engineering teams to write, run, and maintain end-to-end tests for web and mobile in plain English, using AI agents to automatically triage failures and heal tests as products evolve. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series A) - **Headquarters**: San Francisco, California, USA - **Founded**: 2023 - **Founders**: Wei-Wei Wu (Co-founder & CEO), Jeff An (Co-founder) ## Core Business - **Primary industry/industries**: Software Testing & QA, Developer Tools, AI-Powered Automation - **Target customers**: B2B, primarily aimed at engineering teams building web and mobile applications (ranges from startups to large enterprises) - **Mission or purpose statement**: To build the definitive verification layer for software, eliminating the QA bottleneck and catching real bugs before they ship ## Products & Services - **Momentic Platform (AI-Native End-to-End Testing)**: A SaaS platform where tests are authored in human-readable YAML (plain English). The platform uses AI agents to auto-heal tests as UI changes, triage failures with root cause analysis, map user flows to find coverage gaps, and generate tests from pull requests and diffs. Supports web, mobile (iOS/Android), and runs in CI/CD pipelines. - **Momentic for Mobile**: Extends the platform to native iOS and Android with failure recovery and dedicated mobile editing. - **Enterprise Features**: SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, 99.99% uptime SLA, SSO (SAML), RBAC, dedicated Customer Success Manager, 24/7 support. - **Self-Healing Specs**: Automatically adapts tests to UI changes, flagging only genuine regressions. ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not disclosed - **Key Metrics**: Total funding of **$19.2M** with **$15M** raised in a Series A round led by Standard Capital on November 24, 2025. The company reports over **70 million test runs executed**, over **8.9 million auto-heals**, and **117,010 bugs caught** before production. Has a **96% signal-to-noise ratio**. - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Standard Capital (Lead, Series A), Dropbox Ventures, Y Combinator (Batch W24), FCVC, Transpose Platform, Karman Ventures. - **Growth Signals**: Post-Series A funding to accelerate product and mission; used by 100+ teams including Notion, Bilt, Quora, Xero, and Webflow; rapid adoption driven by the AI coding boom (GitHub Copilot, Cursor) which creates testing bottlenecks. ## Competitive Advantages - **AI-First Design**: Unlike traditional testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright), Momentic is built from scratch around LLMs and agents to autonomously write, run, and maintain tests without manual scripting or XPath/CSS maintenance. - **Auto-Healing at Scale**: With millions of auto-heals performed, the platform actively learns the product's UI, terminology, and user flows from codebases, docs, and tickets to reduce flaky tests. - **Agentic Triage**: Provides root cause analysis, session replays, and reproducible steps for failures, connecting failures to codebase context. This reduces debugging time for engineering teams. - **Low Maintenance Overhead**: Tests are self-maintaining and adapt to changes, freeing QA and engineering teams from babysitting test suites. ## Strategic Focus - **Scale the Verification Layer**: Momentic is focused on becoming the essential quality infrastructure for the age of AI-generated code. As coding velocity increases, the company aims to prevent a quality collapse by providing an automated, intelligent testing layer. - **Deepening AI Integration**: The platform continues to expand its AI agents to learn from more tools (Jira, Linear, Figma) and close coverage gaps automatically. - **Enterprise Adoption**: With strong compliance (SOC 2, SLA) and dedicated support, Momentic is targeting larger enterprise accounts that need reliability and control. ## Why Work Here - **Culture Highlights**: Momentic is a Y Combinator-backed startup (W24) with a mission to solve a high-impact problem that is becoming critical in the AI era. The team is small (approximately 15 people) and focused on deep technical work. - **Remote/Hybrid/Office Policy**: HQ is in San Francisco (177 Townsend Street, Unit 930). The specific remote policy is not detailed publicly, but the operational setup (in-office for HQ, but tooling supports CI/CD globally) suggests a hybrid or flexible environment is likely. - **Notable Perks or Engineering Culture**: High-autonomy engineering environment (“Agents are shipping software faster than QA can keep up”). The company offers competitive compensation for a Series A startup (e.g., salary ranges from $150K - $220K listed on YC jobs), and equity. The work involves cutting-edge AI and LLM applications in a real-world product that tens of thousands of developers use. ## Sources 1. [momentic.ai](https://momentic.ai/) 2.
