Data & AI spelen daarin samen een cruciale rol, en AE staat op de eerste rij om te bepalen hoe die transformatie eruitziet. We bouwen de technologie, nemen de mensen erin mee en gaan voor strategische impact. Korte vraag om mee te beginnen: bouw jij een platform waar de organisatie over een jaar nog op verder kan, of lever je pipelines op en rijd je door? Als Databricks engineer bij AE zet je schaalbare dataplatformen neer waarop echte data producten draaien. Je integreert data uit uiteenlopende operationele bronnen, transformeert die tot ze bruikbaar zijn, en bouwt het fundament waarop data & AI-toepassingen kunnen leunen. Geen dashboards om het dashboard, maar producten die blijven werken als de vraag verandert. En die vraag verandert. AI verschuift wat een data engineer doet, sneller dan de meeste jobomschrijvingen bijhouden. Wat is een data product nog als de output geen rapport meer is, maar iets dat een agent bevraagt? En het gaat verder dan wat we bouwen: we zetten AI ook in om onze data producten sneller te bouwen. Agents die mee pipelines opzetten, code schrijven, tests genereren. Je hoeft daar geen ervaring mee te hebben, wel de goesting om erin te duiken en mee vorm te geven hoe die manier van werken er bij ons uitziet. Dat zijn de vragen waar we dagelijks mee bezig zijn, op echte opdrachten. Wat is je focus? - Je bouwt schaalbare dataplatformen op Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark) waarop dataproducten gebouwd worden. - Je integreert data uit verschillende operationele bronnen in het platform. - Je transformeert data zodat ze bruikbaar en betrouwbaar is voor data & AI-toepassingen. - Je denkt mee over de architectuur en durft toolingkeuzes in vraag te stellen wanneer het moet. Wie ben jij? - Je hebt hands-on ervaring met Databricks: Spark, Delta Lake, en bij voorkeur Unity Catalog. - Je bent sterk in Python en SQL. - Je kent de best practices van software engineering: infrastructure-as-code, git en CI/CD. - Ervaring met cloud (Azure, AWS) is een plus. We zijn niet dogmatisch over tooling, we kiezen wat werkt. - Nederlands is onze voertaal. Je beheerst deze zowel mondeling als schriftelijk vlot.
