ENSCO's Mission Systems Group (MSG) provides cybersecurity, systems engineering, integration, quality control, and technical support to the U.S. Space Force Defensive Cyber Operations for Space (DCO-S) program. ENSCO is seeking a DCO-S Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Technician to support our U.S. Space Force customer and the existing DCO-S workforce in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is a full-time, on-site position. The successful candidate will support the validation, assessment, and continuous improvement of DCO-S cybersecurity capabilities throughout the integration, deployment, and sustainment lifecycle. The position will evaluate system configuration, performance, data quality, cybersecurity coverage, and operational effectiveness to ensure fielded capabilities meet established technical and mission requirements. ## Key Responsibilities - Perform QA/QC assessments of DCO-S cybersecurity capabilities throughout integration, deployment, upgrade, and sustainment activities. - Validate deployed DCO-S tool suites to ensure systems are properly configured, operational, and performing in accordance with established technical and mission requirements. - Execute standardized QC checks, test procedures, and inspection criteria to evaluate system health, configuration, data ingestion, cybersecurity coverage, and overall performance. - Analyze system logs, network data, application outputs, and performance metrics to identify anomalies, data gaps, configuration issues, and potential deficiencies. - Develop, maintain, and improve Quality Control inspection procedures, checklists, reports, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and supporting technical documentation. - Document QC findings, identify deficiencies and trends, and develop actionable recommendations for engineering teams, operators, and government stakeholders. - Perform post-installation and post-upgrade validation to confirm newly deployed capabilities and software releases operate as intended within the mission environment. - Support cybersecurity data coverage analysis to determine whether deployed sensors and applications are collecting and processing the data required to support Defensive Cyber Operations. - Assist with root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of identified system performance, data ingestion, network, or cybersecurity issues. - Collaborate with DCO-S operators, system administrators, network engineers, Integrated Solutions personnel, software developers, and mission partners to resolve identified deficiencies. - Support development and validation of technical metrics, dashboards, coverage maps, trend analyses, and other products that provide leadership and operators visibility into system health and mission effectiveness. - Support validation of cybersecurity capabilities and tools, including network sensors, log collection, data processing, threat detection, and visualization technologies. - Provide technical feedback to software development and engineering teams to support continuous improvement within Agile, SAFe, and DevSecOps processes. - Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), integration testing, regression testing, and other verification and validation activities associated with new capabilities and software releases. - Support systems engineering and integration activities associated with cyber-relevant capabilities deployed into U.S. Space Force mission systems. - Travel to CONUS and OCONUS customer locations, as required, to support site surveys, installations, system upgrades, testing, post-installation validation, and QC assessments. Travel of up to 25% is anticipated. ## Qualifications Required - Minimum of three years of relevant technical experience, including at least one year supporting DoD operations, cybersecurity, information technology, system administration, network operations, software testing, quality assurance, or related technical functions. - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. - Strong technical foundation in one or more of the following: - Cybersecurity operations - Network engineering and analysis - System administration - Quality assurance / quality control - Systems integration and testing - Enterprise IT infrastructure - Experience analyzing system logs, network traffic, application outputs, or other technical data to identify performance or configuration issues. - Experience with Linux operating systems, preferably Red Hat. - Working knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, firewalls, and enterprise network infrastructure. - Understanding of cybersecurity monitoring, detection, logging, and data analysis concepts. - Demonstrated ability to follow technical procedures, document results, identify discrepancies, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify, isolate, document, and assist in resolving technical deficiencies. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational, documentation, and configuration-management skills. - Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. - Current DoD 8140 IAT Level II, IAM Level II, or higher qualifying certification, as applicable to the assigned work role. - Active U.S. Department of Defense Top Secret/SCI security clearance. - U.S. citizenship is required due to the security clearance requirements of this position. ## Qualifications Desired - Experience performing QA/QC, verification and validation, system acceptance testing, or operational readiness assessments within a DoD environment. - Experience with Elastic Stack technologies, including Elasticsearch and associated ingestion and visualization capabilities - Experience with Grok filters, regular expressions (Regex), log parsing, and data normalization - Experience with network security monitoring tools such as Suricata and Zeek - Experience with packet capture and network analysis tools - Experience with Docker, Ansible, VMware, or similar containerization, automation, and virtualization technologies - Experience with Jira and Confluence for issue tracking, documentation, and workflow management - Experience developing technical reports, metrics, dashboards, heatmaps, trend analyses, or other products used to assess cybersecurity coverage and system performance. - Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and its application to defensive cybersecurity analysis, detection coverage, and threat-informed validation. - Experience supporting DCO system deployment, integration, tuning, sustainment, or operational validation. - U.S. Space Force mission system or Defensive Cyber Operations experience. - Experience with enterprise infrastructure technologies from Dell, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Gigamon, or similar vendors. - Experience with Agile, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), DevSecOps, or continuous integration/continuous delivery environments. - AWS engineering, cloud infrastructure, or system administration experience. - Experience supporting cybersecurity capability testing and validation across development, integration, fielding, and sustainment phases.
