Location: Poland – Remote Employment Type: Full-time, B2B Contract Compensation: PLN 12,000–18,000 net + VAT per month (B2B)

## About the Role

We're looking for a Developer Onboarding & Activation Marketing Manager to improve how developers discover value in PubNub, from signing up and creating their first application to becoming active, paying customers.

This is a hands-on, data-driven role focused on developer activation, product-led growth, and self-service conversion. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, Growth, and Lifecycle Marketing to identify friction points, improve onboarding experiences, and run experiments that help developers succeed faster.

Success means reducing time-to-value, improving activation and retention, and increasing the number of developers who progress from experimentation to meaningful product usage and paid adoption.

## Key Responsibilities

- Own and optimise the developer onboarding journey, from signup and first API key through first successful integration and paid conversion.
- Analyse developer journeys, conversion funnels, user behaviour, and drop-off points to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design, prioritise, and run experiments to improve onboarding completion, activation, and conversion rates.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to improve quickstarts, documentation journeys, sample applications, and first-use experiences.
- Develop onboarding campaigns, lifecycle communications, and contextual guidance that help developers reach their next milestone.
- Explore AI-assisted onboarding experiences that make it easier for developers using tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to build with PubNub.
- Improve self-service journeys related to product usage, pricing discovery, and conversion to paid plans.
- Establish and track key metrics, including time-to-first-value, activation, developer engagement, and first-time paying customers.

## About You

## Minimum Requirements

- Experience in product-led growth, developer activation, lifecycle marketing, growth marketing, or a closely related role.
- Demonstrated experience improving onboarding, activation, or self-service conversion for a SaaS or developer-focused product.
- Strong analytical skills, including funnel analysis, user segmentation, experimentation, and performance measurement.
- Experience using product analytics and A/B testing to guide decisions.
- Technical fluency and the ability to understand developer workflows, APIs, and integrations.
- Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to turn insights into practical product or onboarding improvements.
- Strong English communication skills and comfort working across distributed teams.

## Nice to Have

- Experience with API-first or developer infrastructure products.
- Familiarity with usage-based pricing and self-service monetisation.
- Experience with product analytics and experimentation tools.
- Knowledge of AI coding assistants, MCP, or AI-supported developer workflows.
