L’équipe Ingénierie Core cherche un développeur en logiciels II pour se joindre à notre équipe des données. En tant que développeur en logiciels de notre équipe des données, vous serez responsable de la conception, de la mise en œuvre et du maintien de l’infrastructure nécessaire au soutien des processus de gestion des données de l’entreprise. Vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec l’équipe des services de données, les équipes de gestion de portefeuille et d’autres équipes des TI pour assurer la fiabilité, la sécurité et l’évolutivité de nos systèmes de données.

Notre département Core Engineering recherche un développeur ou une développeuse logiciel pour rejoindre l’équipe Data à Montréal. La personne retenue jouera un rôle clé dans le développement de l’infrastructure de données de référence sur les instruments financiers de Tower.

Responsabilités

- Architecture axée sur les données : Concevoir et développer des pipelines ETL d’ingestion de données hautement fiables, capables de traiter des flux fragmentés et multiformats provenant de bourses mondiales et de fournisseurs de données (p. ex., Bloomberg, Refinitiv), puis de les normaliser selon notre modèle de données interne.
- Modélisation complexe : Analyser en profondeur la structure des instruments financiers de différentes catégories d’actifs (actions, cryptoactifs, produits dérivés complexes, etc.) afin de développer des modèles de données complets et cohérents dans le temps pour les nouvelles catégories d’actifs intégrées, ou de faire évoluer nos modèles relationnels et de séries chronologiques existants.
- Détection des anomalies et contrôle de la qualité des données : Développer des mécanismes automatisés et intelligents de rapprochement et de contrôle de la qualité des données historiques et en temps réel, afin de détecter, de corriger ou de signaler les erreurs provenant des sources de données en amont.
- Collaboration interfonctionnelle : Collaborer directement avec les chercheurs quantitatifs, les traders et les autres équipes d’ingénierie centrale afin de développer des solutions complètes de données de référence répondant aux besoins des différentes fonctions de la plateforme de négociation.

## Qualifications

- De 2 à 5 ans d’expérience dans le secteur de la négociation financière ou des technologies
- Solide expertise en bases de données SQL
- Maîtrise de la programmation en Python ou en Java, ou dans les deux langages
- Aisance dans un environnement UNIX et bonnes compétences en programmation de scripts shell
- Solides compétences en résolution de problèmes axée sur les données, avec une capacité à maîtriser les modèles de données sous-jacents pour orienter le développement de logiciels robustes et évolutifs
- Excellentes capacités d’analyse et d’investigation, avec une expérience démontrée dans l’interprétation de documentation technique et la rétro-ingénierie de cas limites
- Diplôme en informatique ou dans un domaine connexe
- Expérience avec les données de référence sur les instruments financiers utilisées en négociation, idéalement dans plusieurs catégories d’actifs : actions, produits dérivés, devises et titres à revenu fixe
- Excellentes compétences en communication écrite et orale

Our Core Engineering department is seeking a Software Developer to join the Data team in Montreal. This role will play a key part in contributing to Tower’s security referential infrastructure.

## Responsibilities

- Data-Driven Architecture: Design and build highly reliable data ingestion ETL pipelines that consume fragmented, multi-format feeds from global exchanges and data vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv) and normalize them into our pristine internal data model.
- Complex Modeling: Dig deep into the anatomy of financial instruments for different asset classes (such as equities, crypto, complex derivatives) to develop complete and historically consistent data models for newly on-boarded asset classes or to continuously evolve our existing relational and time-series data models.
- Anomaly Detection and Data Quality Checks: Build automated, intelligent reconciliation and data-quality frameworks for historical and live data that catch, resolve and/or flag errors from upstream data sources.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with quantitative researchers, traders, and other core engineering teams to build complete referential data solutions that serve the different functions across the trading stack.

## Qualifications

- 2-5 years of experience working in the financial trading or technology industry
- Strong expertise in SQL databases
- Proficient in either Python and/or Jav programming
- Comfortable working in an UNIX environment along with good shell scripting skills
- Strong data-first problem-solving skills, focused on mastering underlying data models to guide building robust, scalable software
- Deep analytical and investigative abilities, with a proven track record of parsing technical documentation and reverse-engineering edge cases
- A degree in computer science or a related field
- Experience working with security referential data for financial trading across a variety of asset classes - equities, derivatives, fx, fixed income preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
