At IP Fabric, we enable people to uncover the truth about their networks. Built by network professionals and industry experts, our innovative solutions are transforming how enterprises manage their networks. As a post-Series B company, we're expanding rapidly across Europe, the U.S., and beyond. ## About the Role We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer – Platform to join our Platform team and help evolve the foundations of the IP Fabric product. Our Platform team is focused on making the product more stable, elegant to develop, performant, and secure. The work sits at the intersection of software engineering, Linux, CI/CD, containers, quality, and developer experience. Over the coming months, some of our biggest challenges include decomposing parts of our monolithic application into cleaner modules or services, modernizing deployment from a Debian package-based model toward containers, improving build and testing pipelines, and creating a much better local-development experience. This is not a traditional infrastructure-operations DevOps position. You will work directly on the product platform and the engineering systems surrounding it. We are hiring at either L2 or L3. Both levels are hands-on. The difference is primarily the scope you can own independently. ## What You'll Do - Build and improve product-platform components and tooling using Python and TypeScript - Help evolve the application from a monolithic structure toward cleaner modules and/or services - Contribute to the design and implementation of our next-generation deployment model - Help move the product from Debian package-oriented deployment toward an appropriate container-based approach - Build, improve, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines - Improve build and testing infrastructure - Make local product development easier and more reliable - Work with Kubernetes and containerized workloads - Troubleshoot issues across application, runtime, container, Linux, and CI/CD boundaries - Improve platform stability, performance, maintainability, and developer experience - Participate in technical discussions and code reviews - Collaborate closely with engineers across the product organization - Apply good engineering practices around testing, observability, maintainability, and software quality - Contribute to software hardening and secure engineering practices where appropriate L2 / L3 Expectations L2 At L2, you should be able to independently deliver a defined technical task end to end. Once the task and expected outcome are clear, you can determine the implementation, investigate unknowns, write and test the solution, troubleshoot issues, and drive the change through completion without close technical supervision. L3 At L3, you should additionally be comfortable working from a broader technical goal. Once familiar with the platform, you can identify what needs to change, break broader goals into concrete work, propose solutions, explain tradeoffs, and lead implementation. You are also expected to contribute meaningfully to technical decisions led by other engineers. ## What You'll Need - Strong GNU/Linux fundamentals - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Hands-on experience with containers - Practical Kubernetes knowledge, or very strong relevant fundamentals and the ability to become productive quickly - Experience building, maintaining, or improving CI/CD pipelines - Software-development experience in Python and/or TypeScript - Ability to independently own technical implementation - Understanding of modern software-engineering practices, including testing and version control - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English - Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote engineering team - EU citizenship or other eligibility to work in the EU Bonus Points - Experience with both Python and TypeScript - Understanding of the Node.js runtime and ecosystem - Experience modernizing application deployment - Experience migrating workloads toward containers - Experience decomposing monolithic applications - Experience with developer tooling or Developer Experience / DevEx - Experience improving local-development environments - Experience with build systems and testing infrastructure - Software-hardening or application/platform security experience - Experience improving performance or reliability of product platforms ## How We Work - Remote-first team - Primarily CET-based - English as the working language - Prague office available as an option for local employees - Hands-on engineering culture - Collaborative technical decision-making - Engineers are expected to understand the problems they are solving, not simply execute tickets ## Benefits & Perks - 25 days of holidays + 5 flexi-days. - Pluxee Flexi Card (up to 16 000 CZK per year - valid only for Czech employees) - Full remote or hybrid role depending on your choice. - Anniversary rewards. - Collaboration with diverse, international teams. - A pet-friendly office in the center of beautiful Prague. - Complementary and yummy snacks, coffee, brew and refreshments in the office. - Regular team and company events. Join us to experience the unique culture of a founder-led startup, where from top to bottom everyone is hands-on and has a chance to make a tangible impact on influential enterprises worldwide. It creates an interactive, continuously validated digital twin of the entire network estate, uncovering risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps that other tools miss. Core use cases include: - **Network Automation Foundation**: Provides standardized, vendor-agnostic data to drive automation tools (Ansible, ServiceNow, etc.) and validates changes pre- and post-implementation. - **Regulatory Compliance Readiness**: Automates the generation of audit evidence for standards like PCI-DSS, SOC2, etc. - **De-risking Digital Transformation**: Validates network behavior during migrations, cloud onboarding, and major changes. - **Closed-Loop Automation**: Integrates with tools like Splunk, Grafana, NetBox, Nautobot, and more via an open API. ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not publicly disclosed. - **Key Metric**: - **Annual Revenue**: $1.0M (per LinkedIn data; note this may be an estimate and not official) - **Total Funding**: $30.6M across 4 rounds. - **Notable Investors/Partners**: - **Lead Investor (Series B, June 2023)**: One Peak ($25.1M round) - **Previous Investors**: Presto Ventures, Senovo, Credo Ventures, Bolt Start Up Development, TechSquare. - **Key Partners/Integrations**: Splunk, Grafana, NetBox, Nautobot, Ansible, ServiceNow, Red Hat. - **Growth Signals**: - Recently closed a $25.1M Series B round in mid-2023, signaling strong investor confidence and scaling ambitions. - Trusted by industry leaders including Red Hat, Major League Baseball, Air France, and Air Bank. - Global presence with employees in 11 countries (Czechia, US, UK, Germany, Slovakia, Poland, and more). - Active job postings (6 open roles) with a yearly increase of +100% in listings. ## Competitive Advantages - **Vendor-Neutral & 100% Coverage**: Unlike many network tools, IP Fabric discovers the entire multi-vendor, on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environment, not just a portion. It fills the 20-40% visibility gap that other monitoring tools miss. - **Digital Twin & Validation**: Provides a live, interactive model of the network state and behavior, enabling pre- and post-change validation that prevents outages and configuration drift. - **No SNMP, No Agent**: Uses read-only CLI/API access, making it secure and easy to deploy without impacting network performance. - **API-First & Extensible**: Open API and pre-built integrations allow it to slot into existing workflows, acting as the “source of truth” for automation, compliance, and security tools. - **Pricing Model**: Licensed per active device (not per seat), incentivizing broad deployment without seat-license friction. ## Strategic Focus - **Scaling Go-to-Market**: With Series B funding, IP Fabric is aggressively expanding its sales and marketing presence, particularly in the DACH region and across EMEA. - **Deepening Automation & Compliance**: Building out closed-loop automation capabilities and regulatory compliance features to become the standard for network governance. - **Growing the Platform Ecosystem**: Increasing integrations with popular IT, security, and automation tools to make the digital twin the central nervous system of network operations. - **Product-Led Growth**: Emphasizing a quick time-to-value (minutes to deploy) and a freemium/trial model to drive adoption. ## Why Work Here - **Culture & Values**: The company is built on values of **Accountability**, **Customer Centricity**, **Innovation**, **Inclusion**, and **Continuous Learning**. They actively foster a diverse, open environment where different ideas are respected. - **Remote/Hybrid Policy**: Flexible, remote-friendly setups, with many roles open to remote work across the Czech Republic and the EU. - **Benefits**: Competitive PTO, a wellbeing program, anniversary rewards, and a supportive, collaborative atmosphere. - **Engineering Culture**: Emphasis on “self-driving networks” and building the future of network automation. Engineers work with cutting-edge tech (network models, APIs, automation stacks) on a platform that is fundamental to enterprise IT stability. - **Global Team**: A diverse team across 11 countries, with a flat-ish structure and a strong sense of ownership and accountability. - **Growth Trajectory**: A well-funded Series B company with strong revenue growth and a clear mission. Employees have the chance to grow with the company as it scales. ## Sources 1. [ipfabric.io](https://ipfabric.io/company/about-us/) 2. [ipfabric.io](https://ipfabric.io/careers/) 3.
