Since our founding in 2009, our mission to help bring creative projects to life has been powered by the people behind the work. Together, we’ve helped creators around the world launch creative projects that have generated billions of dollars in pledges. That same commitment extends inward. Rooted in shared values, Kickstarter invests in the growth and success of our team, treating employees as whole people and empowering them with the autonomy and space to participate in decisions that shape their work and our company. As Director, Growth & Product Marketing, you’ll own how we position and launch our product, how we equip our Outreach team, and how we turn one-off campaign work into repeatable programs. You’ll be the founding leader of this function at Kickstarter, building product marketing and go-to-market systems from the ground up to support our global marketplace. Your mandate is to build the systems that make growth scale: sharp positioning, a tiered portfolio of launch and promotion offerings, and the enablement resources that help our Outreach team sell and deliver consistently. You’ll partner closely with Product, Outreach, and the Lifecycle Marketing teams. This is a high-impact role where you’ll set the foundation for our marketing and sales model, bringing creativity, analytical rigor, and leadership to the table. The salary range for this role in the United States is $200,000 - $225,000. In This Role, You Will: - Own product positioning and messaging, translating product capability into clear, compelling value propositions for creators and backers. - Develop and run go-to-market strategy for product and feature launches, driving awareness and adoption on both sides of the marketplace. - Design, standardize, and own our launch and promotion packages: tiered offerings with fixed deliverables that Outreach can sell and marketing can fulfill without custom work. - Build and manage sales enablement for the Outreach team: pitch materials, talk tracks, competitive positioning, and training that improve win rates and consistency. - Lead demand generation programs that feed the Outreach pipeline, including webinars, open calls, and referral programs. - Standardize marketing processes, tools, and briefs to improve efficiency across the team. - Define and track performance metrics for product adoption, enablement effectiveness, and launch package delivery, and use them to improve. About You: - You are a proven product marketing leader who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and has built scalable programs from scratch. - You are skilled at translating product capability into audience-facing narrative and positioning. - You’re experienced in sales enablement: you’ve equipped a sales team with the content, tools, and training that measurably improved their performance. - You are data-driven, with the ability to measure success through KPIs and drive continuous improvement. - You are an exceptional cross-functional operator with demonstrated ability to influence across Product, Sales, and Marketing teams. - You’re experienced with CRM strategy, marketing automation, and the modern marketing tech stack.
