Reporting to the VP, Merchandising, Planning & Allocations, this role will lead merchandising across Wholesale, Retail, E-commerce and Amazon, with responsibility for driving sales, margin, inventory and overall business performance. We are looking for a strong merchant and business leader who can balance the day-to-day needs of the business with a clear view of where we need to go next. This person will identify opportunities across categories, channels and brands, build assortments that meet customer needs, and make decisions based on both data and strong merchant instinct. The Director will work closely with Product, Brand, Marketing, Planning & Allocations, Retail, Wholesale and E-commerce to ensure we have the right product, in the right channel, at the right time. ## About You - You are an experienced merchandising leader with 7+ years of experience, ideally in DTC, apparel or intimate apparel. - You have experience leading a business across multiple channels and understand the differences between Wholesale, Retail, E-commerce and Amazon. - You think like a business owner and understand the connection between sales, margin, inventory and profitability. - You are equally comfortable looking at the big picture and getting into the details of a category, style, channel or business issue. - You use data to make decisions, but don't rely on data alone. You bring strong customer and merchant intuition to the business. - You are able to spot trends, identify whitespace and turn opportunities into action. - You are comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change. - You are a strong people leader who knows how to build, develop and retain a high-performing team. - You build strong relationships across functions and are comfortable influencing decisions outside of your immediate team. - You have a strong understanding of the customer and a genuine interest in the Knix brands. The Opportunity Business & Merchandising - Lead the merchandising strategy and business across Knix, Kt by Knix and MNTD, with accountability for sales, margin, inventory and profitability. - Develop annual and seasonal strategies, including category priorities, assortment plans, pricing and product flow. - Use sales, customer and market data to identify risks, opportunities and whitespace, and turn those insights into clear business actions. - Partner with Planning & Allocations to manage inventory investment, receipts and in-season opportunities. - Identify new categories, products, channels and other opportunities to drive future growth. - Build differentiated assortments that reflect the customer, positioning and commercial needs of each brand. Channel & Product - Lead merchandising across Wholesale, Retail, E-commerce and Amazon, adapting assortments and strategies to the needs of each channel. - Partner with Product and Brand to shape the product roadmap and ensure the assortment supports both customer needs and business goals. - Work with Wholesale and Retail on channel and seasonal strategies, and with E-commerce and Amazon on digital assortment, launches and productivity. - Support strategic collaborations and product initiatives that strengthen brand differentiation and drive growth. ## Team & Cross-Functional Leadership - Lead, develop and retain a high-performing Merchandising team, setting clear priorities and expectations. - Work closely with Product, Brand, Marketing, Planning & Allocations, Finance, Retail, Wholesale and E-commerce to align on business and product priorities. - Bring a strong merchandising perspective to business decisions and ensure teams are aligned on assortment, launches and seasonal priorities. - Create a team culture that encourages strong merchant thinking, accountability, testing and continuous improvement. ## Qualifications - 7+ years of merchandising experience with increasing leadership responsibility. - Experience in a high-growth DTC or omnichannel business is strongly preferred. - Apparel or intimate apparel experience is an asset. - Experience across multiple channels, including E-commerce and a combination of Retail, Wholesale and/or Amazon. - Strong understanding of assortment planning, category management, pricing, margin, inventory, forecasting and in-season management. - Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to understand and manage a P&L or significant portion of the business. - Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams. - Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to influence decisions across the organization. - Comfortable working at both a strategic and detailed level. - Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced business with changing priorities. - Strong customer focus and a clear point of view on product and merchandising. Salary - Annual salary starting at $135,000 CAD ## Compensation & Care Transparency is at the heart of everything we do, including how we pay.
