The brand positions itself as "not a kitchenware brand" but one rooted in community and bringing people together. ## Products & Services - **Always Pan**: Their flagship non-stick, non-toxic ceramic pan; positions itself as a 10-in-1 replacement for traditional cookware. - **Cookware Sets & Pieces**: Pans, pots, baking sheets, toaster ovens, and electric cookers (e.g., Perfect Pot, Always Pan, and cookware bundles). - **Dinnerware & Glassware**: Dinner plates, bowls, drinking glasses, serving dishes. - **Kitchen Tools & Accessories**: Knives, storage containers, and related cooking tools. - **Appliances**: Toaster ovens and electric cookers. - **Traditionware™ Collections**: Limited collections designed to celebrate and tell stories of specific cultural traditions, particularly BIPOC and underrepresented communities. - **Retail/In-person brand extension**: Own retail locations (e.g., Abbot Kinney store in LA) and wholesale partnerships (e.g., David Jones in Australia). ## Market Standing - **Valuation**: Not publicly disclosed. - **Key Metric (Funding)**: ~$9.9M total funding across multiple rounds (Angel, Pre-Seed, Series A, Series B). Notable rounds: $2.4M Pre-Seed (2019), $7.6M venture round (2020), Series A (2020), Series B (2022). - **Revenue**: One third-party database (Growjo) estimates annual revenue at ~$2.9M, but this appears to be an algorithmic estimate and is likely understated for a brand of this scale — treat as unverified/conflicting data. - **Notable Investors**: Dreamers VC, FabFitFun, plus a range of undisclosed angels and institutional investors. - **Key Executives**: Co-founder/leadership under Shiza Shahid; executive team includes Director of Global Sourcing, General Counsel, Head of Supply Chain, Director of Industrial Design, and Associate Director of Product. - **Growth Signals**: Headcount at ~110 employees (+13.5% YoY); LinkedIn following of ~18,289 (+16.9% yearly growth); expanded physical retail presence at David Jones in Australia as of August 2026; opened brand retail stores in the US; active hiring in product development, brand/social, operations, and sales. ## Competitive Advantages - **Strong brand story & mission**: Founded by a female co-founder with a compelling immigrant/narrative around the "bigger table," which resonates strongly with consumers and differentiates the brand from commodity cookware. - **Viral flagship product**: The Always Pan became a cultural/social media phenomenon, giving the brand outsized awareness relative to its size. - **Design-led product development**: Industrial design team and "Traditionware™" storytelling create limited-edition drops and a sense of cultural curation. - **Community-centric marketing**: Strong social/community team and influencer marketing engine. - **Omni-channel expansion**: Multi-channel retail footprint (DTC, own stores, international wholesale) diversifies distribution. - **High employee satisfaction**: 4.7/5 rating on employer review platforms, with particular strength in culture (5.0), compensation (4.8), and career growth (4.7). ## Strategic Focus - **Global/omni-channel expansion**: Entering established retailers like David Jones in Australia and building out physical brand presence. - **Product innovation**: Hiring in product development (managers, technicians) to take new products from "idea → prototype → launch" across cookware, appliances, and kitchenware. - **Direct-to-consumer growth**: Growing the social/community team and brand storytelling to sustain the community-driven business model. - **Supply chain & operations excellence**: Hiring inventory planning leaders to improve omni-channel demand forecasting, inventory health, and product launches. - **Mission-driven brand building**: Continuing Traditionware™ and community-centric collaborations tied to cultural storytelling. ## Why Work Here - **Culture**: Described internally as fast-moving, mission-driven, and collaborative; employees rate culture 5.0/5.0 and overall employer rating is 4.7/5.0 across work-life balance, compensation, culture, and career growth. - **Work model**: Hybrid office culture based in Los Angeles/Culver City; some roles are in-office (e.g., influencer marketing, product development, sales associates), with remote flexibility for eligible positions. - **Compensation & benefits**: Company equity, home-office stipend for remote employees, dental insurance, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), family medical leave, and company-sponsored family events. - **DEI**: Highly diverse management team; strong emphasis on inclusivity and honoring diverse cultural traditions. - **Perks & office**: Onsite office parking; employee programs supporting continuing education during work hours. - **How to apply**: Careers page on Lever ([jobs.lever.co/our-place](https://jobs.lever.co/our-place)). ## Sources 1.
