This is a hands-on player-coach role responsible for delivering reliable, secure, and responsive IT support across our unclassified environment. This role owns Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, employee onboarding/offboarding, endpoint management, office IT, enterprise software administration, remote employee support, and execution of CUI hardening requirements. It does not own classified or SCIF networks but will work closely with IT Engineering and Cybersecurity. We view IT as a customer-service organization. Success means employees trust the IT team, commitments are met, issues are permanently resolved, and leadership has clear visibility into performance and priorities. ## What You’ll Own - Lead and scale the corporate IT team while remaining hands-on when needed. If you do not want to get your hands dirty, this position is not for you. - Establish measurable SLAs and build a culture of responsive, proactive support where employees never have to chase IT for status. - Standardize IT systems, configurations, tools, and processes to improve reliability and scalability. - Manage an agile team including sprint planning, backlog review, and daily standups in support of enterprise projects such as GCC-H migration. - Own the IT roadmap and major projects with clear milestones, owners, risks, committed dates, and consistent stakeholder communication. - Drive permanent fixes through root-cause analysis rather than recurring workarounds. - Own onboarding, offboarding, endpoints, identity and access, enterprise software tools, office technology, and remote employee support. - Partner with Cybersecurity to execute CUI hardening, patching, endpoint compliance, and related controls. - Own incident response for corporate IT issues, including clear communication and follow-through through resolution. - Build the on-site IT capability needed to support Quindar’s growth in Washington, DC. - Hold the team and vendors accountable for service quality, execution, and outcomes. ## What We’re Looking For - Organized and assertive leader who will mentor and grow a team. - Experience leading corporate IT in a growing technology, aerospace, defense, government contracting, or similarly complex organization. - Strong background in Tier 1/2 support, endpoint management, identity and access, enterprise software administration, and office IT. - Proven ability to manage people, projects, vendors, and competing priorities while remaining technically hands-on. - Strong customer-service mindset with high standards for communication, ownership, and follow through. - Experience with CUI, NIST SP 800-171, or CMMC is preferred. What Success Looks Like Employees trust IT. Systems are reliable – problems are fixed not patched. SLAs are met. Projects ship when promised. The team communicates clearly, owns outcomes, and scales with the company. IT is as elite as the engineers. ## ITAR REQUIREMENTS To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Learn more about the ITAR here. ## Why you'll love working at Quindar - We work in a cutting edge industry and you will get the opportunity to be part of a small team with a large direct impact on the success of our customers’ space missions! - We take work life balance very seriously.
