This role blends creative storytelling with strategic communications. You’ll find and shape compelling narratives, build trusted media relationships, and create high-impact content programs that resonate with early-stage founders, GTM professionals, and future investors. What You’ll Do: Public Relations & Media - Develop, own and execute our press and public relations strategy, working closely with relevant reporters and media outlets; help support our portfolio companies’ PR efforts and visibility - Develop storylines, pitch angles, and news moments that elevate Venture Guides’ presence in trade, tech, and business press - Cultivate strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers in business, enterprise tech, security, and infrastructure software markets - Manage executive visibility, speaker opportunities, and award submissions Content Strategy & Creation - Lead content strategy across channels—including blogs, podcasts, case studies, social posts, website, and more - Partner with VG team members, investors and portfolio leaders to develop new content ideas and compelling narratives - Manage editorial calendar aligned to firm priorities and campaigns Podcasts & Webinars - Own the Venture Guide's podcast and webinar programs: concept, coordination, guest management, and promotion - Bring creative ideas to life that showcase our brand, customers, and industry POV - Support executive communication as needed, ghostwriting or assisting efforts to amplify our approach across owned and earned channels (LinkedIn, media, bylines, etc.) What You Bring: - Excellent research, writing, editing, and storytelling skills—you can ghostwrite like a pro and simplify complex topics without watering them down - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once - Enjoy the challenge in securing meaningful press coverage and leading content/editorial programs - Creativity and ability to match interests with audiences - Curiosity to learn about new technologies and businesses - Comfortable working with and mobilizing executives, founders, and cross-functional stakeholders to participate in content programming - Creative, scrappy, and resourceful—with a bias for action Nice to Have: - Relationships with top-tier press, analysts, and podcasts in the B2B/tech space - Experience launching or scaling a branded podcast or content series - Background in startup environments or early-stage marketing teams - experience in B2B marketing, with emphasis on PR, media relations, and content marketing - Prior experience in infrastructure software, cybersecurity, networking, developer tools, or adjacent technical spaces About Venture Guides: Venture Guides is a Boston-based early-stage venture capital firm managing $477M across two funds.
