Our mission is to deliver a unified location platform that enables autonomy, safety, and efficiency across industries — from robotics to transportation. Localization is at the heart of what makes a robot capable: a machine that doesn't know precisely where it is can't act safely or autonomously in the physical world. That makes us foundational to the future of physical and embodied AI — and this role will help get us there. Our outdoor positioning product is already established and growing fast, with real revenue momentum behind it — and we're just getting started. We are a high-performance, highly collaborative team that thrives on solving complex problems, moving fast, and delivering measurable impact. ## Role Outcome The Director of Product owns the clarity, coordination, and execution integrity of the Product organization. This is an execution-first role, and you're joining at a great time to make an impact: our outdoor positioning product has real revenue momentum, and this role will shape what comes next. This isn't a process-only seat — you'll be hands-on with engineering on some of our most technically complex product decisions, not just relaying them. You will lead a team that translates product direction into clear specifications, structured backlogs, actionable roadmaps, and coordinated delivery — ensuring what gets built matches what the market needs, at the pace and scale the business requires. Success in this role means: - Product definitions clearly reflect market and customer requirements before engineering begins work. - The backlog and roadmap are transparent, current, and understood across the company. - Engineering builds stay aligned to the intended market outcome, with tradeoffs surfaced early and managed intentionally. - The field, customers, and leadership have structured visibility into what is coming, what shipped, and what it does. - Delivery stays aligned to spec through release, with gaps caught early and the team held to a high bar. - Executives, the board, customers, and internal teams get regular, structured updates on roadmap progress and business impact. Immediate Areas of Focus Document Complete, Market-Driven Product Definitions Own the creation and maintenance of detailed Product requirements across the portfolio. - Lead structured interviews with stakeholders and customers to document what the product must accomplish from a market perspective. - Translate business and customer needs into clear functional requirements. - Maintain Product requirements as living documents throughout the lifecycle of each capability. - Update documentation as scope, sequencing, or functionality evolves. - Ensure scope is reviewed and approved prior to execution. Own Backlog Tracking & Roadmap Prioritization You own the roadmap: the prioritization calls, the operating cadence, and the visibility across the company. - Own and maintain a transparent, company-wide backlog. - Set prioritization criteria and make the final roadmap sequencing calls, in partnership with executive leadership. - Consolidate sizing inputs and own the resourced roadmap. - Lead roadmap review sessions with Product and Engineering leadership. - Update the roadmap quarterly to reflect actual progress and new priorities. - Clearly communicate changes when sequencing or delivery timing shifts. Own Positioning Engine (Client) Product Direction Own the roadmap and support boundaries for the client/positioning-engine side of the product — one of the most technically complex, highest-upside parts of the portfolio, especially as we push into Indoor positioning. - Set a clear point of view on where the positioning engine/client product is headed, and what we will and won't support going forward. - Own this area end-to-end rather than as a side responsibility — it requires dedicated, hands-on attention to do well. - Identify and prioritize growth opportunities here, with Indoor positioning as a key near-term focus. - Free up executive/technical leadership time currently spent on this work by taking direct ownership of it. ## Qualifications - 8+ years of experience in Product Management or Product Strategy, including experience leading a team. - Track record of owning product strategy and roadmap decisions for a SaaS, hardware-adjacent, or technical platform. - Strong technical acumen; engineering or technical background is a plus. - Preferably, experience with GNSS, robotics, autonomous systems, drones, industrial automation, or defense technologies. - Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, embedded systems, and real-time data systems. - Preferably, technical depth in GNSS/positioning fundamentals (e.g., signal processing, multipath, sensor fusion, satellite geometry) sufficient to personally dig into why a positioning solution is degraded, not just relay engineering's explanation. - Experience partnering directly with executive leadership and presenting to boards or investors. - Experience driving monetization, pricing, or portfolio strategy with measurable revenue impact. - Strong ability to structure ambiguity into clear strategy, documentation, and plans. - Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success leadership. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Bias toward action, ownership, and continuous improvement. Our Cultural Foundation At Point One, our cultural and operating design is built around one guiding principle: we must move with extreme speed and efficiency of effort to stay in a leadership position. This environment gives people high autonomy and the ability to make a real impact. It also challenges every team member to grow — both professionally and personally. Because we focus on promoting from within rather than relying on external hiring, the opportunities for advancement are significant for those who seek them. That said, growth only comes from delivering in the present. What matters most is the job to be done today, not the job you want tomorrow. When we focus on today's outcomes with excellence, greater responsibility naturally follows. ## How We Show Up Every Day Trust / Assume Best Intent — We start from trust so we can move fast. High Output, Action Oriented — Our default posture is "yes." We prioritize execution and momentum. Divine Discontent — We are never satisfied with the status quo and continuously improve. No Ego, One Team — Collaboration without ego creates leverage. Self Accountability — Ownership accelerates learning and preserves trust. Operating Principles Edge Innovation — Bias toward action over approval. No Hierarchies — Self-prioritize and go direct to the source. Customer Experience First — Optimize for the end-to-end customer outcome, not departmental efficiency. If this role sounds like a fit, we’d love to hear from you. Apply below and join us in shaping the future of precise location. ## About Point One Navigation Inc ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: Precision location technology / GNSS corrections infrastructure - **Target customers**: B2B – autonomous vehicle OEMs, ADAS developers, drone manufacturers, robotics companies, precision agriculture firms, survey/construction operators, and defense contractors. - **Mission or purpose**: “Empower the next generation of developers with reliable, easy to use precision location data.” ## Products & Services - **RTK & SSR Corrections Network**: World’s largest professionally managed RTK corrections network offering centimeter-level accuracy with thousands of base stations; coverage in US, UK, EU, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Japan. - **Positioning Engine (Atlas INS)**: Sensor fusion software that calculates device position with or without open sky, combining GNSS corrections with inertial data for robust performance in challenging environments (urban canyons, tunnels, extreme acceleration). - **Point One API**: Modern GraphQL API for integrating location data into existing workflows, plus web applications for data visualization and management. - **Reference Systems**: Industrial-grade hardware devices that work out of the box to accelerate development and deployment. ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not disclosed (total funding $45M as of late 2025) - **Key Metric**: Annual Revenue ~$3.8M (as of 2025); Total Funding $45M across 4 rounds - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Khosla Ventures (led Series C), UP Partners (led Series A), IA Ventures, and others.
