The[Business Insider Fellowship Program](https://www.insider-inc.com/careers/fellowship-program) is for early career journalists who want to spend six months learning from a newsroom full of passionate, dedicated journalists. Fellows are assigned to teams and become experts in digital storytelling. They produce real work that is distributed to our audience of millions, and by the end of six months, they are prepared for the next phase of their journalism careers. This role requires you to work for 40 hours a week. The Role & Team: As an Editorial Operations Fellow, you will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a fast-paced, innovative digital newsroom by working with teams across all departments. The fellow will support the editorial operations team on projects ranging from managing our freelance roster to developing automated processes for rights management and awards submissions. The fellow may also perform administrative duties to help our global newsroom run smoothly. We're looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, extremely organized, and enthusiastic about digital journalism. This role reports directly to the Director of Newsroom Operations. The fellow is required to work at least three days per week out of Business Insider’s New York City offices. Applications are due by End of Day, September 11. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with the editorial operations team to handle freelancer contracts, approve invoices, and engage with our freelance network - Assist with award submissions and arranging newsroom trainings - Help develop newsroom tools, processes, and automations The ideal candidate: - Is organized and meticulous, a problem solver, and a fast learner - Is experienced and comfortable with AI tools - Has experience handling contracts and invoices - Is familiar with Google Workspace (especially Google Sheets) and some mix of the following: Zip, Zapier, Docusign, Adobe Acrobat Sign, or  AI vibe-coding tools such as Codex.
