As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for helping design, test, and integrate the electrical system for JetZero's demonstrator aircraft. You will collaborate closely with other system engineering teams, labs, and technicians to ensure the electrical system meets the power needs of other systems. JetZero is a place for people who are ambitious, talented, and humble. This role is based in Long Beach, CA reporting to the Demonstrator systems team. Responsibilities for this role include: - Integrate, test, and make updates to the AC electrical power generation system with engine driven generators and generator controllers. - Review the AC and DC power distribution system architecture for the airplane including bus signal reviews, configuration updates, and wiring changes. - Develop and review test plans for power generation and distribution. Conduct bench and airplane tests - Electrical power system parts definition, sourcing and development. - Designing the current return and grounding network strategy and definition. - Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and guidance What You Bring: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline - 10+ of experience in electrical power design for Part 25 aircraft - Ability to analyze technical data, troubleshoot test failures, and drive root-cause investigations, and document results clearly - Comfortable wearing multiple hats, intellectual curiosity, and good cross-functional versatility ## Preferred Skills & Experience - Experience with supplier oversight - Direct experience with airplane development programs especially experimental designs - Knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations and experiment airworthiness process. - Advanced power generation, storage, and distribution techniques - Familiarity with digital thread approaches (CAD/PLM) Compensation: Our compensation package is a blend of base salary and equity options for eligible employees. The range for this role is $135,000 to $165,000.
