We’re focused on jobs that are genuinely hard on the human body: lifting 40-pound bags of dog food, loading boxes for an entire shift, and moving heavy materials from floor to high overhead shelves. Not just lightweight tasks in controlled environments. Actual, back-breaking work. Factory and warehouse work demands more. The hardware needs strength, reach, precision, speed, and the battery life to be useful across multiple shifts. It also needs to deliver a clear return today, not in some hypothetical future. Our robot costs $32K at development volumes today. We build the full robot stack ourselves, from cameras and compute to actuators, electronics, and software. Our custom-built supervision stack helps handle the hard parts of deployment, from real floor variability to keeping work moving without line disruption. That supervision also generates proprietary real-world data that helps improve autonomy over time. We are a four year old startup backed by Khosla Ventures and a team of other great investors. Our team includes alumni from Anduril, Oculus, Amazon, Waymo, Skydio, Boston Dynamics, ASML, MIT, Jane Street, and Joby Aviation. ## Key Company Beliefs - We are obsessed with shipping robots. - A humanoid robot is only valuable if it solves a real customer problem. Cool demos are fun, but reliable work is what matters. - Low cost is what makes widespread deployment possible. - High-quality, proprietary robotics data is the foundation of the next generation of physical AI. - Getting nerd-sniped by an engineering metric is way less important than solving our customers’ biggest pain points. ## What We’re Looking For We develop custom servo actuators, compute, networking, cameras, sensors, and electronics for our robots. These systems need to be performant, reliable, cost-effective, and tightly integrated with the rest of the robot. We are looking for an electrical engineer to own well-scoped board designs and support the testing, manufacturing, and maintenance of electrical systems across the robot. You might design a teleoperation IMU board, cable tester, adapter PCB, or ToF sensor cluster, then bring it up, debug it, and make sure it can be built reliably. You will also help manage component libraries and supply chain details, work with PCB manufacturers, identify critical single-source components, and make sure we have the parts needed to keep building robots. We care a lot about curiosity, ownership, and how quickly you learn. We love engineers who build things outside of what is required of them, whether that is a robotics project, Formula SAE or solar car team, open-source work, or something you designed and built on your own. Required Qualifications - Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals - Experience designing PCBs, through coursework, internships, team projects, or independent work - Hands-on board bring-up, testing, debugging, and rework experience - Comfortable using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and soldering/rework tools - Ability to take a clearly defined electrical project from requirements through design, bring-up, and testing - Attention to detail and willingness to own the less glamorous parts of hardware development, including documentation, component management, and manufacturing follow-through - Ability to learn quickly, take feedback, and work effectively with more experienced engineers - Good communication skills - BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field Bonus Qualifications - Portfolio of independent electronics, robotics, or embedded systems projects - Experience on Formula SAE, solar car, robotics, rocketry, or a similar engineering team - Proficiency in Altium for schematic capture and PCB layout - Basic firmware or software experience, particularly C/C++ or embedded systems - Experience working with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors - Familiarity with component sourcing, BOM management, and identifying supply chain risk - Experience creating or maintaining schematic symbols, footprints, and component libraries - Experience with sensors, IMUs, ToF sensors, communications interfaces, or embedded electronics - Robotics experience Compensation: $140,000–$180,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. Come Join Us Reflex is de-risked enough to see the hazy outlines of success, but still small enough that there’s enormous upside for grabs. This is a rare opportunity to help build a flagship robotics company from the ground up and to do work that will truly matter, reshaping what people believe is possible in robotics. We love to see the things you’ve worked on. Have a portfolio or a project that people tend to say 'wait, you built that?' when you describe what you worked on? Share it. We’re looking for people who push past the status quo, are passionate at work and in their own time, we’re looking for people who want to win. ## About Reflex Robotics ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Reflex Robotics builds affordable, general-purpose wheeled humanoid robots designed to perform reliable, end-to-end work in warehouses, factories, and other industrial operations. - **Entity Type**: Private (Seed-stage) - **Headquarters**: Brooklyn, New York, United States - **Founded**: 2022 - **Founders**: Ritesh Ragavender (CEO), Mason Massie (CTO), Mateo Mariscal (COO), David Schwebel (CRO) ## Core Business - **Primary industries**: Robotics engineering, industrial automation, manufacturing and logistics. - **Target customers**: B2B – warehouses, factories, and other industrial operations seeking to automate repetitive, manual tasks with minimal integration effort. - **Mission/purpose**: "Free humanity from the drudgery of boring and repetitive tasks" by building affordable general-purpose robots that deliver useful work in the real world. ## Products & Services - **Reflex Humanoid Robot**: A wheeled, general-purpose humanoid robot platform that combines production-grade hardware, a supervised reliability layer, and AI-based decision-making (Reflex Intelligence). The robot is designed to deploy with zero integration – it uses existing carts, monitors, and touchscreens – and improves over time by learning from supervised work. It features superhuman reach, payload, precision, battery life, and speed. It is sold as a service or product to industrial customers. [reflexrobotics.com] ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not disclosed. - **Key Metrics**: Total funding raised: **$14.3M** across two rounds (Seed and Seed VC). Latest round (May 2024) of $7M. Annual revenue not publicly available. - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Khosla Ventures (lead Seed round), Cruise, Dropbox Ventures, Invariantes Fund. [cbinsights.com] - **Growth Signals**: Headcount grew 50% YoY to 24 employees. LinkedIn followers grew 147.6% yearly. The company is actively scaling manufacturing and has recently selected Manufacturo as a manufacturing execution partner to improve traceability and quality control. ## Competitive Advantages - **Wheeled humanoid design** – prioritizes safety, low inertia, and cost-efficiency over humanoid walking, making it more practical and affordable for immediate industrial deployment. - **Supervised reliability layer** – enables predictable recovery from real-world variability, reducing the risk of downtime compared to fully autonomous systems. - **Zero-integration readiness** – works with existing warehouse infrastructure (carts, monitors, scanners), lowering the barrier to adoption. - **Continuous learning** – robots improve their performance across shifts and workflows via supervised AI policies. ## Strategic Focus - **Scaling production** while maintaining quality and traceability (partnership with Manufacturo). - **Expanding deployment** in manufacturing and logistics sectors to address labor shortages and support reindustrialization in the US and Europe. - **Advancing autonomy** – hiring AI research engineers focused on reinforcement learning and world models to increase robot self-sufficiency over time. ## Why Work Here - **Culture**: A team that has "shipped real robotic systems before" – a disciplined, execution-oriented environment focused on building robots that leave the lab and prove themselves in real customer operations.
