## Job description

AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Test Technician to support the testing, validation, and troubleshooting of advanced electronic assemblies and systems. This role is critical to ensuring product performance, reliability, and quality throughout development and production phases. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on technical experience, solid diagnostic skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform functional, validation, and acceptance testing of electronic assemblies and PCBAs.
- Execute test procedures, record data, and document results in accordance with internal quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and electronic failures down to the component level.
- Support product development, verification testing, and production testing activities.
- Operate and maintain electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, signal generators, and data acquisition systems.
- Assist engineers with test setup development, fixture assembly, and process improvements.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, and quality procedures.
- Identify and escalate recurring test failures or process issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within test operations.

## Qualifications

Education:

Relevant studies or technical training in electronics or a related field.

Experience:

A minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in electronic testing within a manufacturing, industrial, or high-reliability environment. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working in a regulated or high-quality manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with environmental or stress testing methods.
- Experience supporting RF or high-frequency electronic systems.
- Previous experience working in controlled production environments.

Soft Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy of all test data and documentation.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills in a deadline-driven environment.
- High level of accountability and commitment to quality and safety.
