## Job description

What’s in store for you: You’ll be solving complex challenges and maintaining our own infrastructure with 60PB+ monthly data traffic. Here are its scale and maturity in numbers:

- 6PB+ Ceph storage
- 60PB+ monthly data traffic through our systems
- 300k+ service requests/sec processed
- 500k+ Kafka messages/sec streamed

The team waiting for you: Our Ecom squad is responsible for delivering high-quality data to power the world's leading AI, e-commerce, and advertisement companies. As a Squad Lead, you will take on the critical function of shaping the future of our data delivery, forming and molding the team as you see fit to achieve greatness. You are joining us at a time when we are focused on scaling our impact, meaning you will have the autonomy to mentor the next generation of scraping engineers. Your ultimate challenge will be acting as the guardian of our operational excellence - ensuring top-tier data quality, an exceptional developer experience, and rock-solid stability for all the squad's services.

In this role, you will:

- Apply our leadership principles to guide your team and drive results.
- Lead sprint planning, create and refine JIRA backlogs, and estimate ETAs to ensure clear alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Prioritize issues based on business value and actively prevent scope creep to maintain the team's focus on high-impact work.
- Drive strategic OKR planning by suggesting product initiatives, gathering supporting evidence, and collaborating with stakeholders to align objectives with company goals.
- Foster a motivating, burnout-free team culture by managing workload distribution and mentoring team members for continuous growth.
- Contribute to technical discussions, optimize Agile workflows, and resolve daily roadblocks to ensure the team builds for speed and efficiency.

Your skills & experiences:

- Practical background in software development combined with experience in leading technical teams (a servant leadership approach is highly valued).
- Solid understanding of web development fundamentals, system design, HTML, JavaScript, and REST APIs (you won't need to write code daily, but a strong technical understanding is essential).
- Hands-on experience with GIT, CI/CD pipelines, and software deployment processes.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills with a pragmatic, data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Resilience and curiosity, with the ability to thrive in a hybrid, international setting where team members may work remotely.

Nice to Have:

- Knowledge of any back-end language (e.g., Python, Go).
- Experience with web scraping (we will train you if you don't have it).
