We are currently looking for an Entry Category Buyer for our Own Brand team In this exciting role, you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping the Own Brand category at THE ICONIC, curating a selection that reflects the latest trends and meets the evolving needs of our customers. This role is perfect for an experienced Assistant Buyer or Junior buyer ready to advance their career. About the Role: Trade Analysis and Strategy Development: - Conduct comprehensive weekly trade analysis with a focus on actions encompassing sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities. - Develop strategic insights and actionable plans to optimise departmental performance, including NMV, profitability, and stock cover. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align trade strategies with seasonal and long-term objectives, ensuring agile responses to market dynamics whilst achieving budgeted sales plans - Provides quarterly SWOT analysis with actions and recommendations Range Planning and Product Development: - Plans a balanced range including assortment selection and option planning across Core & Newness - Works closely with design team to align on market trends and customer preferences. - Forecast demand accurately working alongside planning to develop replenishment strategies that optimise inventory levels and meet sales targets. Supplier Management and Negotiation: - Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, fostering collaboration and driving mutual success. - Negotiate terms and costs with vendors to ensure competitive pricing, product quality, and adherence to sustainability goals. - Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement or optimisation across the supply chain. Marketing and Creative Alignment: - Work closely with marketing and creative teams to align brand and product assortment with brand messaging and promotional strategies. - Provide input on marketing campaigns and creative executions to maximise product visibility and sales impact. - Maintain brand and customer persona information Team Leadership and Development: - Provide effective leadership to direct reports, setting clear expectations, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. - Support the professional development of team members through coaching, training, and performance feedback. - Drive cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
