For this reason, candidates must be based in the Greater Seattle Area. Meet the Recommendations Team: The Recommendations team is a team of 4 Seattle-based engineers and 3 remote contractors responsible for matching pet parents with the best care providers for their respective needs. We work closely with an adjacent team of analysts, designers, and data scientists to create, test, and release user-impacting marketplace features. Here are some examples of the types of projects we work on: Improving and maintaining the technology behind the search platform, Elasticsearch Increasing match personalization and pet parent confidence through creative information collection and playback initiatives. Providing engineering support to Data Science as they innovate on the algorithm and ML models that support search We are looking for an entry level Software Engineer to join the Recommendations team to help with this mission. You'll partner closely with senior engineers to break down requirements, build features, and see them through to launch -- growing your skills as a professional developer along the way.
