We believe that the best way to solve complicated dynamic problems is collaboratively and respectfully. ## JOB OVERVIEW The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for supporting and implementing workplace health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role partners with site leadership and employees to promote a safe work environment, reduce risk, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance. ## Key Responsibilities Safety Program Management - Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS policies, procedures, and programs. - Conduct routine facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance. - Monitor corrective actions and verify timely completion. - Assist in developing site-specific safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects. Compliance & Regulatory Requirements - Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, local fire code, and other applicable regulations. - Maintain required EHS documentation, records, permits, and reports. - Support regulatory inspections and respond to findings as necessary. - Stay informed on changes to EHS regulations and industry best practices. Incident Management - Lead or support investigations of workplace injuries, near misses, and environmental incidents. - Identify root causes and develop corrective and preventive actions. - Track incident trends and recommend improvements to reduce risk. Training & Employee Engagement - Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors. - Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and awareness initiatives. - Support safety committee activities and site-wide safety campaigns.
