## Job description

We're seeking expressions of interest for Special Projects Associate roles, where you'll provide specialized operations support for our research teams. Note: We are characterizing this opening as an expression of interest because we are not actively prioritizing filling this role at this time. However, we are excited to hear from candidates whose skills and interests are exceptionally aligned with our organizational needs. We're open to working with promising candidates to clarify the scope and responsibilities of the role in a way that plays to their strengths and interests.

## About the role

We are looking for a Special Projects Associate to support our research programs. Specific responsibilities will evolve as our teams launch new initiatives. In this role, you would take on a wide variety of tasks involving complex logistics to help ensure new projects can start strong and run smoothly. Depending on organizational needs and your strengths, your work might include: Coordinating with external experts and contractors across a wide variety of domains, ensuring their contributions meet our quality standards and improving their experience working with us. Supporting our data projects, such as helping the data team properly secure and license data for our data center tracking and ensuring we remain compliant. Organizing events, such as symposiums that bring together field experts. Owning external communications channels, such as inboxes for queries from our audience, responding or triaging with the team as necessary. Providing operational support for new research initiatives, learning about and handling the dozens of tasks and details that help make new projects great. This role is fully remote, and we are able to hire in many countries. Depending on the team, we may require candidates to be based in certain ranges of timezones. - Have two or more years of prior work experience in roles with many moving parts.

- You are comfortable with and excited about working in a startup-like, fast-moving environment. Time is our scarcest resource!

## Compensation & Benefits

- Annual salary between $95,000–$155,000 USD, depending on experience and location.
- Salaries are not restricted to USD, and contracts and payments are usually in local currencies. Conversions are based on one-year average exchange rates.
- Fully remote environment, including flexible work hours.
