We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and obsessed with closing the gap between design and deployment. As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems the West needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter the adversaries of democracy. We’re hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years. ## What you will be doing As a Field Instructor, you’ll serve as the lead of a Mobile Training Team (MTT), delivering mission-critical training to warfighters across the U.S. and abroad. You’ll report to the Training Lead and act as the primary point of contact for your training deployments—owning classroom delivery, managing logistics, interfacing with customer stakeholders, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and instructional clarity. You will deliver comprehensive training through classroom instruction, hands-on exercises, and live flight instruction, ensuring students develop the technical knowledge, practical skills, and operational proficiency required for successful system employment. You will assess individual performance against standardized evaluation criteria, maintain professional engagement with military leaders and operational teams, and support unit-level training to enhance readiness and capability integration. Additionally, you will contribute to curriculum development, training equipment management, and the continuous refinement of instructional methods through field-informed feedback and operational lessons learned. This role is remote and requires travel expectations of 50%. ## Responsibilities - Serve as the lead instructor and customer-facing point of contact for all assigned field training operations - Deliver classroom instruction using standardized Neros curriculum, ensuring engagement and comprehension across varying skill levels - Coach students through hands-on troubleshooting and system operation while adapting instruction to their skill level, mission needs, and field conditions - Manage pre- and post-course logistics, including scheduling, site setup, gear preparation, and customer coordination - Maintain detailed training records, rosters, sign-in sheets, and pass/fail assessments using defined grading criteria - Submit after-action reports, performance summaries, and feedback to the Training Lead - Identify trends or challenges in student performance and provide structured feedback to help refine future curriculum - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Mission Success, to ensure training aligns with operational realities and system capabilities - Provide end user feedback across internal departments to inform product development and drive continuous improvement - Maintain professionalism and instructional quality across both classroom and range environments You should have the following - Prior military experience or experience working with the military (strongly preferred) - Experience teaching, coaching, or mentoring adults in technical or tactical environments (strongly preferred) - Possess a valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate or obtain certification within 45 days of hire - Exceptional communication, facilitation, and classroom leadership skills - Familiarity with FPV systems and UAS operations, including basic air and ground components - Confidence leading groups in both classroom and field environments, with the ability to adapt on the fly - Experience using flight simulators as part of training programs (preferred) - Working knowledge and experience with ATAK (preferred) - Strong organizational and documentation skills, including grading, reporting, and inventory tracking - A high level of composure and professionalism in fast-paced or austere conditions - Initiative and commitment to continuous professional development, with an emphasis on technical and tactical proficiency - A mission-first mindset, willingness to travel, and a strong sense of ownership over training outcomes US Salary Range $67,500 – $94,500 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package. We’re an equal opportunity employer. We welcome all applicants without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status. ## About Neros Technologies ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: A defense technology company building combat-proven, attritable drones and unmanned systems to deliver asymmetric advantage for Western military forces at scale. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series B) - **Headquarters**: Los Angeles, California, United States (El Segundo area) - **Founded**: 2023 - **Founders**: Soren Monroe‑Anderson (CEO) and Olaf Hichwa (CTO) ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: Defense and Space Manufacturing - **Target customers**: U.S. Department of Defense (Army, Marine Corps), allied nations (Ukraine, UK), and NATO partners – B2G / government. - **Mission statement**: “Building unmanned superiority.
