This is a hands-on role for a technician who enjoys troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment in the field. You’ll work on a variety of compactors and related equipment, putting your experience in hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, welding, and mechanical repair to work every day. From diagnosing hydraulic and electrical issues to repairing motors and pumps, fabricating chutes, and installing cardboard balers, the work is varied and requires someone who can think through problems and see a job through to completion. Qualifications: - Compactor Experience: Hands-on experience servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing compactors is strongly preferred. - Equipment Repair: Experience repairing heavy equipment, vocational equipment, or industrial machinery. - Mechanical Skills: Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. - Hydraulic & Electrical: Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems. - Welding & Fabrication: Experience with welding, cutting, and basic fabrication. - Tools: Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, torches, and measuring equipment. - Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record. - Safety: Commitment to safe work practices and following required procedures. - Independence: Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues in the field.
