This position is key in supporting multi-state sales tax, commission processing, accounts payable, business licenses, entity filings, insurance, and lease records. Because the work is compliance-based, this role requires accuracy in every filing, payment, and record, while new sales tax nexus obligations call for careful, independent research. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter who takes initiative, holds themselves to a high standard, and is always looking for a better way to get the work done. Job Responsibilities - Prepare, file and pay sales tax returns across multiple states and local jurisdictions (including IL, MI, NV, WA, AZ, FL, TX, CA and San Francisco) accurately and on time - Research nexus, registration, rates and product taxability when the company reaches a new sales tax nexus, and set up tax codes for clients in ConnectWise - Support use tax, B&O tax and personal property tax compliance, including assessments and payments - Process monthly commissions for Client Success, Outside Sales, employees, third parties and channel partners, including QuoteWerks MRR/NRR conversions and paid invoice data pulls - Support accounts payable processing in Sage Intacct, including bill entry, vendor setup and refunds - Maintain business license and permit registrations and renewals, and prepare business filings and entity documentation through the CSC portal - Track leases, utilities, insurance policies and certificate of insurance (COI) requests, and monitor renewal and 90-day notice deadlines - Work the Finance Admin service board, triaging and resolving tickets within agreed turnaround times - Keep trackers, the filing calendar and the Finance Admin Reference Guide accurate and up to date - Find work without being assigned it, and suggest or build improvements to Finance Admin processes Job Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred - 1-2 year of accounting, tax or compliance experience required; US sales tax experience preferred - Strong attention to detail and a high personal standard for accuracy, since the work is compliance based - Strong research skills, with the ability to find, read and apply state tax rules and official guidance on your own - Highly motivated self-starter who finds work without being told and looks for ways to improve processes - Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations) - Clear written and verbal English communication skills - Reliable high-speed internet required - Dual-monitor workstation preferred ## Preferred Qualifications - Experience with US multi-state sales tax filing or nexus research - Background in a managed services provider (MSP) or IT services company - Experience using AI tools to speed up research and documentation Tools & Technology Used - Sage Intacct - ConnectWise Manage - QuoteWerks - US Based State and local tax department portals - Microsoft 365, including advanced Excel Job Requirements - A home office set up that meets the following: - Computer: A working computer with a minimum of 8GB RAM and one of the following: - Windows 11 with an Intel i5 or i7 (8th generation or newer), or - AMD Ryzen 5 or 7 (2000 series or newer), or - macOS 12 or newer. - Internet: Stable internet connection with at least 25 Mbps download and upload speeds. - Audio Equipment: A quality headset with a noise-cancellation feature for meetings. - Mobile Device: A smartphone capable of installing the Microsoft Authenticator app. - Webcam: An HD webcam for video calls. - 2nd Monitor - UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) if using a desktop (Not needed if using a laptop) - A very strong cultural fit the ITS way (Our core values will be discussed during the interview) - Excellent command of the English language both spoken and written - Able to work full time for 40 hrs. a week:  8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST (Monday to Friday) - Able to pass our online behavior and cognitive assessments. - Preferably, at least two of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, 3cx Basic Certified Engineer. - Able to provide NBI Clearance (for PH applicants). ## Compensation Pay rate starts at $4.19/hour and may vary by experience and location. ## Benefits - Comprehensive Health Plans / HMO (Employee & Dependent/s) - Life Insurance - Flexible Benefit Reimbursement (Dental/Vision/Mental Health/Wellness/Government Contributions) - Paid Time Off (starts at 15 days per year) - Maternity/Paternity Leave - Paid US Holiday - Night Shift Bonus - Salary Advancement/Loan - Health & Wellness Program - Company-paid training and certification Fraud Alert – Recruitment Scams Intelligent Technical Solutions (ITS) has been made aware of fraudulent job postings and communications misrepresenting our company.
