Just as Stripe lets any business add a payment button in seconds, Gigs empowers platforms to weave in connectivity—bridging the traditional world of telecom with modern tech. From fintechs launching mobile services to HR platforms offering work phone plans, we automate provisioning and remove telecom complexity. Our team of around 150 people across the US and Europe, backed by nearly $100 million in funding from Ribbit Capital, Google, and Y Combinator. As one of the fastest-growing tech companies, bringing together early-stage engineers, product builders, and business athletes from companies like Stripe, Airbnb, and Shopify. We’re tackling deep technical and regulatory challenges to make connectivity truly seamless. If you’re driven by curiosity, creativity, and the chance to shape the future of telecom, we’d love to hear from you. Things We Care About We are building in a highly complex space and tackling a massive problem. We want people who lean in when things get hard. - Speed. We move and we ship. We set bold deadlines and treat every week like it matters. - Ownership. If you see something broken, fix it. We don't wait for permission. - Customer Obsession. Our customers' product is our product. - Ambiguity. We're building frontier technology in a complex domain. You'll need sound judgement and good instincts to make decisions without complete information. - First principles. We don't ask how things have been done before. We ask why they were done that way at all. ## The Role Connectivity is the heart of Gigs: the carrier agreements, network capabilities, and wholesale economics that everything else is built on. It's also where most of our cost base lives, and where the difference between a good deal and a great deal shows up directly in gross margin. As Finance Business Partner for Connectivity, you'll be the financial counterpart to our Connectivity team. This is a true global role. You will be working with carriers in multiple jurisdictions. You'll sit at the negotiation table, build the models that tell us what to sign and what to walk away from, and own the cost side of our unit economics. You'll know our wholesale rates and usage profiles better than anyone in the company, and you'll turn that knowledge into sharper deals, better forecasts, and correct margins. You will take ownership of the P&L on the supply-side of our Platform from carriers to vendors, and ensure proper forecasting and modeling across all of our verticals. This is a commercial finance role in one of the most negotiation-driven cost environments in tech, where a well-argued benchmark or a well-structured commitment can move margin by whole percentage points. ## What you will do - Partner on global carrier negotiations. Build the financial case for every major carrier deal: rate benchmarks across our existing agreements, counter-proposals, walk-away points, and deal models covering wholesale rates, roaming zones, (e)SIM pricing, international calls and ancillary fees. - Own commitments and their risks. Model, track, and manage volume and revenue commitments across carrier agreements. Know at any moment where we stand against each commitment, when a shortfall is building, and what levers exist before a true-up hits. - Own connectivity cost forecasting. Build and maintain cost forecasts across carriers and markets, driven by subscriber growth, usage profiles, and contractual rate steps. Feed these into company-level planning and pressure-test them against actuals every month. - Ensure gross margin is right. Work with the Data team to make sure our margin reporting reflects reality: correct rate cards in the pipeline, correct treatment of tiers, zones, and promos, and reconciliation of carrier invoices against contracted rates. When a number looks off, chase it to the root cause. - Understand usage economics. Analyze how our customers' end users actually consume data, voice, and SMS across markets, and translate usage profiles into pricing, allowance design, and deal structuring recommendations. - Know the local markets. Build a working view of wholesale market dynamics in each of our markets: who the host networks are, what MVNOs pay, where rates are heading, and what regulatory changes (roaming regulation, termination rates) mean for our costs. - Support commercial pricing decisions. Provide the cost-side foundation for customer pricing: floor prices, margin analysis on new deals, and scenario models when Sales wants to get aggressive. ## What we are looking for - 7+ years in commercial finance, FP&A, or strategy roles with real exposure to negotiations and unit economics; telecom, wholesale, marketplace, or infrastructure cost environments are a strong plus. - Deal instincts: you've built models that were used at a negotiation table, and you know the difference between a model that's precise and a model that's persuasive. - Excellent modeling skills: comfortable with large, messy datasets, complex tiered rate structures, and building forecasts that hold up when actuals come in. You have excellent Excel/Google Sheet skills. - You know how to leverage AI to be more productive and efficient. You have used Claude for modelling before, understand its limitations but also its benefits. - Comfort working with data teams and data tools (SQL or similar familiarity) to validate that reported margins match contractual reality. - Curiosity about how telecom actually works: roaming, wholesale agreements, MVNO economics. You don't need to arrive an expert, but you need to want to become one. - A partner mindset: Connectivity should see you as someone who helps them win deals, not someone who slows them down. - Clear communication: you can explain a commitment structure or a margin bridge to an engineer, a negotiator, or the finance team in language each of them can act on. - Comfortable working across US and European time zones with carriers and colleagues in both. Work At Gigs At Gigs, we value in-person collaboration. We believe the best ideas, decisions, and relationships are built when teams spend meaningful time together, and our culture is designed around that belief. We support flexibility where it makes sense. Some focused work can be done remotely, and not every role or week looks the same. You should expect regular time in one of our hubs, as well as occasional travel for team workshops, customer meetings, and Gigs Republic, our bi-annual company off-site. Our offices are designed to feel like home-inspired workspaces, with plants, thoughtful tools, and small, tight-knit teams that make collaboration feel natural, energizing, and effective. ## What We Offer At Gigs, we believe in rewarding excellence. We offer competitive compensation and stock options because we see you as a true partner in our growth. We also provide stipends for your home office or work setup, a budget for learning and development to fuel your career, and of course, a free phone and international data plan Want to learn more about our benefits, hubs, and what it’s like to work at Gigs?
