Aerospace is in a once-in-a-lifetime transformation. OEMs have decade-long backlogs, new manufacturers are racing to market, and demand for spaceflight is surging. Meanwhile the industry is hundreds of thousands of technicians short, and the systems used to maintain and manufacture aircraft are slow, manual, and largely unchanged in decades. We're building the systems that work alongside technicians, understand the aircraft, and keep the hangar moving. Our team has helped launch airlines and put satellites into orbit. Our aviation advisory board has run major aircraft OEMs, led airworthiness at Gulfstream, and overseen training facilities that educate a quarter of all aircraft mechanics in the US. Susa Ventures led our seed alongside Liquid 2 VC, early backers of Anduril and Stoke Space. We've raised a $5.3M seed round and are on track for our Series A. ## What you'll do You'll build and scale the core systems aircraft technicians use every day: deciding the architecture, writing the code, and sitting in the hangar watching people use it. - Build and scale the core systems that aircraft MROs rely on every day. - Build AI agent systems end-to-end, from voice interfaces on the hangar floor to workflow orchestration across maintenance operations. - Own projects from architecture to deployment, with autonomy over technical decisions. - Own reliability: infrastructure, observability, and evals for AI in a regulated industry. - Turn aerospace data into trusted pipelines, from maintenance manuals and work orders to airworthiness directives and parts catalogues. - Stay at the frontier by adopting new model capabilities and improving the team's tooling. - Talk to technicians, maintenance managers, and regulators, then turn what you learn into product decisions. ## What you'll need - 3+ years of full-stack experience. - Ability to build high-quality software fast. - A co-owner mindset. We'll give you the customer context and the autonomy to find the best path forward, and expect you to own the outcome. - You learn fast. Aerospace experience isn't required. - You're pragmatic and structured. Strong plus: Early-stage experience, competitive programming, trading, building agents. Tech stack: FastAPI · Pydantic · TypeScript · React · OpenAI / Anthropic · PostgreSQL · Turbopuffer · Promptfoo · Azure ## What we offer £100k–£130k salary plus meaningful early-stage equity. Modern tools, real-world impact in a regulated industry, and the chance to define how AI transforms aerospace from the ground up. We are a small, high-trust team where your decisions move the whole company forward. If you're energised by building production AI systems that solve hard, real-world problems - and you want the ownership and pace that only comes from being early at something important, we'd love to talk. We're unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. Fleetcraft is an equal opportunities employer. ## About Fleetcraft ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Fleetcraft develops an AI-native platform for aviation MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) operations that converts technician voice notes into QA-ready records and cross-references technical documentation to reduce turnaround time. - **Entity Type**: Private (Seed stage – raised $3.2M seed round in January 2026) - **Headquarters**: London, United Kingdom - **Founded**: 2025 - **Founders**: Finn Quinlan (CEO) and Ammar Naseer (CTO) ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: Aviation maintenance software (MRO technology) - **Target customers**: Aircraft maintenance organizations (MROs), airlines, and repair stations – B2B, primarily enterprise/regulated environments - **Mission**: To set a new operational standard for modern aviation by automating the most repetitive, time-consuming, and error-prone documentation tasks without compromising compliance or safety. ## Products & Services - **Sonic**: Voice-powered system that captures findings, repairs, and actions as technicians speak, automatically producing compliant records that flow into existing systems. Tasks that once took hours now take seconds. - **Trace**: AI document analysis tool that reads and reasons across complex maintenance and regulatory documents (e.g., Airworthiness Directives, technical manuals), surfacing relevant data to enable faster, more accurate decisions. Both products are delivered as a SaaS platform with regulatory-grade security (SOC 2 Type 1, built for FAA/EASA/Part-145/CAMO record-keeping). ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not disclosed (private company) - **Key Metric**: Total funding raised – $3.2 million (Seed round, January 2026) - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Investors include Transpose Platform, Susa Ventures, Liquid 2, and Entrepreneurs First (EF). Partners include market-leading MROs (e.g., Fleet, ACY, Overhaul). - **Growth Signals**: Headcount grew 133.3% year-over-year (from ~2 to 4 employees); LinkedIn followers reached 1,760; customers across Australia, United States, and Turkey report significant reductions in turnaround time and administrative workload. ## Competitive Advantages - **Regulatory-grade compliance**: SOC 2 Type 1 audited controls; built specifically for FAA, EASA, and Part-145/CAMO requirements – a high barrier for new entrants. - **Voice-first AI**: Sonic eliminates manual data entry by capturing technician speech in real time, reducing documentation time by 4x compared to typing. - **Founder domain expertise**: CEO Finn Quinlan worked on Ireland’s first two satellite missions; CTO Ammar Naseer is an Oxford-trained mathematician and aerospace engineer who helped launch a startup airline and contributed to an air crash investigation. - **Tenant isolation & encryption**: Strict data separation and encryption in transit/at rest, critical for regulated aviation data. ## Strategic Focus - Expand the reach of Sonic and Trace to more MROs globally, addressing the looming technician shortage (700,000+ new technicians needed by 2045 per Boeing). - Continue reducing turnaround time by automating manual repair logging and technical document review. - Deepen integrations with existing maintenance systems and regulatory workflows. ## Why Work Here - **Culture**: Early-stage startup with a mission-driven team focused on making aviation safer and more efficient. Founders combine frontline aerospace experience with cutting-edge AI. - **Work environment**: Hybrid workspace based in London, UK (in-office presence required). Small, tight-knit team (currently 4 employees) offering high ownership and impact. - **Notable perks**: Not explicitly listed, but typical of a seed-stage startup – equity, direct mentorship from experienced founders, and the chance to shape a product from the ground up. - **Engineering culture**: Emphasis on AI, voice processing, and compliance; roles include Founding AI Engineer and Deployment Strategist. Talent sourced from Entrepreneurs First, Gulfstream Aerospace, and Carwow. ## Sources 1. [fleetcraft.com](https://www.fleetcraft.com/) 2.
