Our intelligent detection layer is based on our LogLM, a purpose built model designed specifically for high-volume logs and network telemetry, delivering unusually high accuracy and adaptability across network, cloud, and application environments. We value technical excellence, intellectual honesty, and mission alignment. Our culture is caring and candid. We are direct with one another in service of building something enduring and important. We invest in each other’s growth, assume positive intent, and operate with a shared sense of responsibility. ## Role Overview We are looking for a Founding Solutions Engineer to work directly with customers and shape how DeepTempo.ai is adopted in the real world. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role where you will prototype solutions, influence product direction, and help turn early customer conversations into deployed use cases. You won’t just support the product—you’ll help define it. ## Key Responsibilities - Partner with early customers to understand their workflows, pain points, and technical environments - Design and build custom demos, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts - Translate customer needs into product requirements and collaborate closely with engineering - Lead technical discovery calls and guide customers through solution design - Integrate DeepTempo.ai into customer systems using APIs, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure - Create reusable solution patterns and technical assets for future customers - Support early sales efforts by demonstrating real-world value in a hands-on way - Act as the voice of the customer internally Required Experience - 5+ years in cloud engineering, enterprise SaaS architecture, cyber operations, DevSecOps, site reliability, or comparable technical delivery roles. - Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Experience integrating security, observability, or analytics platforms at scale. - Strong understanding and working knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals: detection engineering, logs, telemetry pipelines, threat models, and incident response workflows. - Familiarity and ability to communicate complex AI/ML concepts to operational stakeholders - Scripting or programming proficiency (Python, Go, Bash, etc.). - Comfort operating in customer-facing technical roles with executive and engineering stakeholders. - Start-up experience. ## Preferred - Experience working directly with SOC teams or MSSPs. - Familiarity with ML/AI-driven products. - Background in high-volume data systems or distributed telemetry environments. - Experience and comfort working both domestically and internationally. - Thrive in teams where titles are loose and ownership is everything — comfortable jumping between strategic advisor, technical architect, and customer champion depending on what the moment demands. - Strong affinity for using AI to scale operations and solutions. ## What We Value - Intellectual rigor paired with practical judgment. - Innovative mindset. - Self starter and willingness to address whatever is needed to advance the company, customer and partner. - Candid communication delivered with respect. - Deep ownership and accountability. - A builder’s mindset — someone who wants to help shape not only deployments, but the company itself. ## Compensation DeepTempo offers competitive base salary and meaningful equity participation. We believe early team members should share materially in the long-term value they help create. Compensation is structured to reward impact, ownership, and sustained contribution. In addition, we offer health benefits, flexible working arrangements, and the opportunity to build foundational technology in one of the most important domains of the coming decade. ## About DeepTempo ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: DeepTempo builds an intelligent prediction and detection layer for modern security operations, powered by its proprietary LogLM foundation model to detect AI-driven, behavioral cyberattacks. - **Entity Type**: Private (Seed stage; raised two seed rounds in 2024 and 2025) - **Headquarters**: San Francisco, California, United States - **Founded**: 2023 - **Founders**: Evan Powell (CEO), Mayank Kumar (Founding AI Engineer), Alex Margaris (Founding Forward Deployed Engineer), Josiah Lashley (Founding AI Engineer) ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: Computer and Network Security (Cybersecurity) - **Target customers**: B2B; enterprises, MSSPs, and critical infrastructure providers (financial institutions, telecom, government) - **Mission**: Build machine‑speed intelligence for defenders – protect businesses and critical infrastructure by making detection and response run at the speed of the attack. ## Products & Services - **LogLM (Log Language Model)**: A vertical foundation model purpose‑built for security. Trained on real‑world network telemetry, it learns how systems routinely operate and identifies malicious intent at the earliest stage. - **Tempo (Intelligent Defense Platform)**: The detection platform powered by LogLM. Integrates with existing SIEM, NDR, and telemetry stacks to surface zero‑click, agentic, and polymorphic threats in real time while minimizing alert fatigue. - **Deployment Options**: Supports BYOC (bring your own cloud) and on‑premises deployments, with flexibility to use open‑source or proprietary LLMs. ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not publicly available (private company) - **Key Metric**: Total funding – at least two seed rounds (2024 and 2025) with one investor each; amounts not disclosed. Headcount of 13 employees (per one source) or 21 (per Built In), with yearly growth of +29.4%. - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Investors not named in provided materials, but the company has an advisory council featuring security leaders from Google Chronicle, Snowflake, Vectra.AI, and SentinelOne. Recognized as a finalist in the Snowflake Startup Challenge. - **Growth Signals**: Rapid leadership expansion (fractional CISO, Director of Product, VP of Business Development); deployments across financial, telecom, and government sectors; active job postings for Forward Deployed Engineer and Marketing Analyst. ## Competitive Advantages - **Proprietary LogLM foundation model**: Purpose‑built for security, trained on real‑world telemetry, enabling behavior‑first detection that signature‑based tools miss. - **Low false‑positive detection**: Reduces noise and alert fatigue, a critical pain point for SOC teams. - **Deployment flexibility**: Supports BYOC and on‑prem, allowing organizations to keep telemetry and decision‑making in their own environment. - **Early‑stage attacker intent detection**: Surfaces stealthy, AI‑driven attacks at the earliest stage, before damage occurs. ## Strategic Focus - **Scaling leadership and product**: Recent hires across security, product, and business development to meet growing enterprise demand. - **Vertical expansion**: Deepening presence in financial services, telecommunications, and critical infrastructure. - **Ecosystem growth**: Building partnerships with MSSPs, hyperscalers, and integration partners. - **Continuous innovation**: Evolving Tempo and LogLM to keep pace with AI‑powered offensive threats. ## Why Work Here - **Mission‑driven**: Work at the intersection of cybersecurity and deep learning to solve one of the most pressing challenges of the AI era. - **Hybrid workspace**: Employees engage in a combination of remote and on‑site work (hybrid model). - **Small, fast‑growing team**: With ~13–21 employees and 29% YoY growth, there is significant ownership and impact potential. - **Cutting‑edge tech stack**: Uses Snowflake, Python, Kubernetes, Kafka, Spark, PyTorch, NVIDIA, and more. - **Notable perks**: Not explicitly listed, but the culture emphasizes intelligent automation, low‑noise detection, and giving defenders the upper hand. The founding team includes engineers from top institutions and companies. ## Sources 1. [linkedin.com](https://linkedin.com/company/deeptempo) 2.
