Our powerfully smart connectivity enables leading automotive, agriculture, and transportation OEMs to deliver innovative new services and fully compliant in-vehicle experiences that customers desire, regardless of local market requirements. We believe in leadership that supports empowerment and responsibility, while recognising and developing leadership qualities across Our Team. Together we bring out the best in each other. So, whether you’re interested in joining us as an individual contributor, manager, senior leader – or someone who aspires to growing into a leadership role – we look for people who are results focused, empathetic, visionary, empowering, and who ‘champion’ our cultures and values. ## The Role As our new FP&A Business Partner, you will sit at the centre of Cubic’s commercial finance – owning customer profitability, driving margin improvement and providing the insights that enable confident decision-making across the Group. As a company, Cubic3 provides a managed IoT connectivity platform, global carrier network access, and tailored connected services to leading automotive and mobile asset OEMs worldwide. This role sits within the FP&A team, acting as the finance partner to our commercial teams and balancing growth with margin discipline. We’re looking for a qualified accountant who combines strong analytical foundations with real curiosity and a passion for challenging the status quo – including through the smart use of AI. Reporting to the FP&A Director, you’ll work cross-functionally with Commercial, Sales, Account Management, Operations and the wider Finance team – building the kind of broad commercial awareness that accelerates long-term career growth. This is a hands-on role with real scope to influence how Cubic understands customer profitability and plans for margin as the business scales. The candidate’s key duties will include: - Act as finance business partner to the commercial organisation - driving margin improvement plans with a quantified benefit, owner and timeline, and challenging pipeline and forecast assumptions: how will this revenue be delivered, and do the numbers add up? - Build and maintain customer P&Ls for key customers, explaining how revenue mix and wholesale cost drive margin and translating the numbers into plain language for non-finance colleagues. - Deliver monthly FP&A reporting – variance analysis against Flash, forecast, budget and prior year for the monthly Flash and Finance MBR – and provide customer, margin and cost inputs to the budget, rolling forecast and five-year plan. - Improve our FP&A models, making them more robust, scalable and efficient, using AI for analysis, data preparation and scenario testing while validating outputs to the standard our reporting demands. - Improve how we report and explain the numbers – including shaping AI-enabled reporting – and deliver improvements within an agreed roadmap. ## Requirements - Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a strong analytical foundation and commercial awareness - 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience in FP&A or commercial finance, ideally within a fast-paced or international business - Proven experience analysing customer, product or contract profitability and explaining margin movements - Strong Excel modelling skills and confidence working with large data sets - Confident communicator capable of engaging senior stakeholders and non-finance colleagues - Versatile team player – enthusiastic, flexible, pragmatic, thorough, and proactive Skills & Attributes that will set you apart: - AI-native mindset – uses AI every day, can show where it has saved time or improved insight, and knows where it adds value and where it does not - Detail-driven mindset with high standards for accuracy, quality, and integrity - Systems-savvy – experience with Oracle NetSuite is a strong advantage, ideally paired with a BI tool such as Power BI or Looker - Commercially curious – challenges assumptions and asks why the numbers are what they are - Adaptable and collaborative – thrives in a team environment while also confident working independently - Strong communicator – comfortable translating numbers into insights for finance and non-finance stakeholders alike - Self-starter with initiative – brings ideas rather than waiting to be asked, and enjoys taking ownership and driving continuous improvement This is an opportunity to join a best-in-class FP&A function in a high-growth, global connectivity business with direct exposure to commercial finance, cross-functional collaboration, and the margin dynamics behind Cubic’s ambitious growth trajectory. New hires at Cubic³ are required to work onsite five days a week during their six-month probation period to get to know the company, their team, and our ways of working. After probation, we offer a flexible arrangement of up to eight work-from-home days per month, provided it aligns with business needs and performance standards. This arrangement is not a given for all roles. Cubic³ is an equal opportunities employer and committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. ## About Cubic³ ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Cubic³ delivers smart, secure, cloud-based global connectivity solutions for software-defined vehicles (SDVs) and high-value mobile assets, enabling OEMs to manage, analyse, and monetise connected fleets across 200+ countries. - **Entity Type**: Private (no public filings or funding rounds disclosed) - **Headquarters**: Dublin, Ireland (The Hive, Carmanhall Road, Sandyford, Dublin 18) - **Founded**: Not publicly available - **Founders**: Not publicly available ## Core Business - **Primary industries**: Automotive (software-defined vehicles), Agriculture, and other sectors relying on mobile asset connectivity (e.g., logistics, heavy machinery) - **Target customers**: B2B – OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) and enterprises that need global, compliant, and intelligent connectivity for vehicles and mobile assets - **Mission / Purpose**: To provide smart, secure, and truly global connectivity that unlocks new revenue streams, operational efficiency, and innovation for OEMs in fast-moving industries ## Products & Services - **Cubic3 Cloud**: Cloud-based platform that provides real-time analytics, insights, and a unified view of connected assets across the globe; enables OEMs to localise connectivity, comply with regional regulations, and make data-driven decisions. - **Intelligent3**: Managed connectivity offering with real-time analytics and insights that help OEMs unlock revenue-generating opportunities. - **Secure3**: Security protocols tailored for SDVs, protecting data and meeting mandatory regulatory requirements. - **Everywhere3**: Global connectivity footprint covering 200+ countries through partnerships with 550+ mobile networks, ensuring seamless roaming and compliance.
