Cobre is a corporate treasury and payments platform designed to elevate the way Latin American companies manage their finances. At Cobre, we build CFO-tech on top of owned payment rails in order to give real-time capabilities to domestic and cross-border payments, empowering every peso that our clients move. We are committed to eliminating friction between companies, their banking partners, their people, and their money– so that money movement becomes a growth driver, rather than a time-consuming task. In this pursuit, Cobre has grown to become a trusted provider of corporates and tech giants in the region, while building a profitable business that has grown 10x in the past 12 months. What we are looking for: We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our Portal team. This team owns the main interface our customers interact with — enabling them to operate payments, manage users, configure security, and interact with our financial products. In this role, you will contribute to the development and evolution of a modular frontend application, traceability, performance, and security. You will work closely with backend and design teams, helping define technical solutions and continuously improve our architecture. You’ll also play an active role in maintaining and evolving our in-house Design System, and ensuring critical features are validated through end-to-end testing. What would you be doing: - Develop and maintain microfrontend applications integrated with Cobre’s Design System. - Integrate internal and external APIs in an API-first environment, collaborating closely with backend teams. - Implement observability, logging, and monitoring in the frontend (metrics, error tracking, performance). - Contribute to the evolution of our frontend architecture (modularity, lazy loading, security). - Design and implement custom backend-for-frontend (BFF) endpoints to support frontend needs, enabling clean separation of concerns and optimized data flows for the user interface. - Write testable, accessible, maintainable, and scalable code. - Participate in code reviews, architecture decisions, and the definition of technical standards. - Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features. What do you need: - 5+ years of experience building production-grade frontend applications. - Strong hands-on experience with Vue 3, TypeScript, Pinia. - Strong HTML and SASS skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to pixel-perfect implementation. - Experience implementing and maintaining microfrontend architectures and modular frontend design. - Solid experience integrating RESTful APIs in API-first environments. - Familiarity with Node.js - Express and hexagonal architectures (especially when collaborating with BFFs). - Experience with observability in the frontend, including error monitoring, performance tracking, and structured logging (e.g.,Mixpanel, OpenTelemetry). - Experience building and evolving Design Systems, including use and management of design tokens. - Proficient in writing component-level and end-to-end tests using tools like Playwright. - Experience with feature flagging, A/B testing, or version-controlled frontend rollouts. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams. - Passion for delivering clean, maintainable, and high-performance code. If you're seeking an exciting next step that would both challenge and thrill you, then this opportunity is for you! ## About Cobre ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Cobre builds Latin America’s financial infrastructure, enabling companies to send and receive payments across the region with a single API integration. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series C) - **Headquarters**: Bogotá, Colombia - **Founded**: 2019 - **Founders**: Jose V.
