## About the role

We're hiring an experienced staff accountant to support accounts payable and accounts receivable for Gloo's Capital Partners entities. This role owns accurate financial recordkeeping, rigorous expense classification, and the financial infrastructure a scaling, regulated, audit-ready organization depends on. ## What you'll do

- Maintain the general ledger for multiple entities, recording transactions accurately, timely, and in accordance with US GAAP.
- Own accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor onboarding, invoice routing, and invoice and billing coding.
- Record accounting transactions in the correct accounting period.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, corporate cards, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare journal entries for accruals, reclasses, prepaid amortization, deferred revenue, and month-end close adjustments.
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and related analysis.
- Partner with the Controller, Capital Partners, to implement standardized processes and procedures across all entities.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation to support external auditors, internal controls testing, and financial reporting requirements.
- Drive timely completion of month-end close activities in line with public-company reporting timelines.

## What we're looking for

- Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 3–5 years of staff accounting experience.
- Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or FloQast, and advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate coding and documentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment across multiple entities and competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional partnership skills

- Startup experience.
- Background in high-growth, multi-entity, or private-equity-backed organizations.
