Department Description

Palmetto Home is a branch of Palmetto focused on the democratization of the renewable energy and HVAC industries. We provide homeowners with financial products to benefit from solar power, energy storage systems, and home efficiency through advanced heating and cooling technologies. We empower solar and HVAC sales professionals and installation companies with access to our proprietary platform, financing, customer management system, and milestone quality control system. Our #1 focus is a phenomenal experience for our customers and partners, evidenced in our growing financial product adoption.

This position will be based in Charlotte, NC.

Reporting

This position will report to the SVP & GM, Palmetto Lab.

Summary of Role

Palmetto is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and execution focused leader to serve as Palmetto’s Home Services Sales Leader. Home Services starts with HVAC and Heat Pump (together, “HVAC & HP”) and is expanding into generators, roofing, and other home services. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for scaling and owning our Home Services business end-to-end, including the home services product offerings within our consumer marketplace, our sales and partner channels, and new product launches such as a generator lease with Generac. This role is ideal for a proven sales and business leader with deep home services industry experience and a track record of driving new business lines from concept to scale. Key impact will be determined by operating metrics (NTP, installs, speed-to-market, partner growth) and financial metrics (volume, project cash margin, cash flow).

Strategic & Tactical

Business & P&L Ownership

- Own KPI achievement for the Home Services business: NTP, installs (customers), and project cash margin.
- Build and scale Palmetto’s home services consumer product offerings (HVAC & HP, generators, roofing, and more), defining what success looks like and identifying growth opportunities.
- Lead strategy, operations, and execution to ensure we meet targets for Home Services
- Own the P&L and metrics of Home Services, driving growth while ensuring strong unit economics and operational efficiency
- Build the right supporting team for the business

Sales Leadership & Strategic Partner Growth

- Scale the account management and business development functions across Home Services.
- Define and drive the go-to-market strategy across sales channels, including dealer channels, OEMs, and our Inside Sales team.
- Establish fulfillment strategy and partnerships for each home services product, enabling a seamless customer purchase experience.
- Identify and secure strategic BD partnerships that increase the TAM of the Home Services business
- Grow OEM partnerships across HVAC & HP, generators, roofing, and adjacent categories.

Cross-Functional Partnerships

- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to build scalable home services platform tooling and ensure seamless integration with Palmetto’s platform and consumer app
- Partner with the Capital Markets and Finance teams to define funding needs, pricing, and FICO requirements, lead capital provider diligence, and ensure financing requirements are met
- Partner with the Loan GM team to launch a home services loan product.
- Partner with CX to ensure a quality customer experience is maintained as Home Services scales.
- Work with Palmetto business leaders on how Home Services fits into the overall Palmetto consumer marketplace and ecosystem of product offerings for consumers

## Qualifications

- Masterful at GTM and have a clear understanding of testing and scaling channel throughput
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- 10-15 years of experience, with leadership roles in the home services industry (HVAC & HP, generators, roofing, or related categories)
- Demonstrated success in a GM, senior sales leadership, or business unit leadership role, owning both strategic direction and operational execution
- Track record of building and scaling account management and business development teams
- Deep network across the home services ecosystem, including dealers, OEMs, distribution partners, and sales leaders
- Strong knowledge of home services sales channels, dealer networks, and go-to-market models
- Experience launching new product lines with OEM partners
- Experience developing or supporting consumer finance (lease or loan) or embedded financial products is a plus
