Accountabilities - Final Art: Insert Cards, Catalogs & Packaging (50% of time) Produce print-ready final art for Lovepop’s physical touchpoints: insert cards that ship inside every order, multi-page seasonal catalogs, and packaging artwork. Own the end-to-end pre-press workflow — CMYK color setup, bleed and trim accuracy, die-line precision, pre-flight checks in Acrobat Pro, and clear handoff to the factory or print vendor. Resolve technical print issues quickly so production cycles never stall. - SAS — Design Sentiment Card Program (40% of time) Lead the visual production for Lovepop’s Design Sentiment Card line: graphic design for each Sentiment Card SKU, print-ready final art for the factory, and Photoshop automation (actions, batch scripts, variable-data templates) to generate Product Detail Page galleries on lovepop.com at scale. Maintain visual consistency across the Sentiment Card library while keeping each card emotionally resonant for its occasion or sentiment. - Digital & PDP Visual Backup (10% of time) Back up the Graphic Designer (Digital) on PDP visuals, hero images, and storytelling assets when the digital queue spikes. Ensure brand consistency between digital and print outputs by being fluent in both worlds. ## Qualifications - Required — Experience 1–3 years of graphic design experience focused on print, packaging, or pre-press for consumer brands. Strong portfolio demonstrating production-ready files (not just concept work) — at least one project where you handled the full hand-off to a printer or factory. - Required — Tools & Print Knowledge Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign (heavy use), Photoshop (including actions, batch processing, and variable-data templates), and Acrobat Pro pre-flight. Working knowledge of CMYK color management, bleed/trim/safe zones, paper stocks, and standard finishing options (foil, spot UV, emboss, die-cut). Working English proficiency for reading briefs and async communication with the Boston team. - Strong Plus — Sentiment Cards, Automation & AI Tools Direct experience designing greeting cards, sentiment-driven product lines, or e-commerce PDP gallery assets at scale. Hands-on with Photoshop automation (scripting, variable-data templates) and AI design tools (Magnific, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney). Prior work with US/Western consumer brands is a plus. Lovepop Values Engineering: Curiosity to discover how the world works Hunger: Desire to take on more than is expected Magic: Delivering unexpected experiences Connection: Building relationships with each other Lovepop Operating Philosophies A+ talent loves working with A+ talent.  A+ talent delivers 10x outcomes. Growth mindset.  We believe people develop over time, that capability increases through belief and hard work.  Most increases in productivity come from leveling up and applying more leverage and focus over time rather than by applying more resources or hours. The team I’m on is more important than the team I lead. From Patrick Lencioni’s “The Advantage”: leaders need to put their working team’s objectives ahead of the objectives of the team they themselves lead for an organization to be effective. Executive leadership team commitments: We value our time together, Create a safe space, Get everything on the table, Make clean agreements, Set the standard. ## About Lovepop ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Lovepop combines art and engineering to create 3D pop-up greeting cards and gifts that turn everyday moments into magical shared experiences. - **Entity Type**: Private (post-Shark Tank investment; no public ticker or further funding rounds disclosed) - **Headquarters**: Boston, Massachusetts, USA - **Founded**: 2014 - **Founders**: Wombi Rose and John Wise ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: Greeting cards, gifts, and e-commerce (specialty paper products with kirigami-inspired design) - **Target customers**: B2C (individuals purchasing for holidays, milestones, and everyday occasions); also sold through retail partners across the U.S. - **Mission statement**: “To create one billion magical moments” – a “magical moment” is defined as a card being bought by a giver and opened by a receiver. ## Products & Services - **Pop-up Greeting Cards**: Handcrafted 3D paper sculptures using a patented Slicegami™ technique (combining kirigami with ship-design sliceforms).
