We have an ambitious goal: to transform the way the world interacts with healthcare, because where you live shouldn't determine the quality of care you receive. For patients, managing your health should feel empowering, not intimidating. For doctors, we want to eliminate the administrative noise so you can focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care. We're reimagining what it looks like for doctors to care for patients in an AI-first world — starting with a platform that streamlines doctor-patient communication via WhatsApp, acting as an AI clinical assistant that automates non-urgent tasks, surfaces what's urgent, and gives patients the convenience of reaching their care team 24/7. With bases in San Francisco and Mexico City, our team brings together years of experience scaling companies like Uber, Rappi, Modern Fertility, and Wonder across the US and Latin America. We're backed by a16z, General Catalyst, and Accel, and a remarkable group of angels including the founders of Nubank, Rappi, and Maven Clinic. If you're hungry to build 0-to-1, and roll up your sleeves to make magic, thrive in ambiguity, and care deeply about building a better future, this role might be the perfect fit for you. ## The Role You'll work at the intersection of growth, operations, product, and customer experience. You'll spend time understanding our doctors, analyzing performance data, improving onboarding and activation, designing scalable processes, and helping leadership make better decisions. No two weeks will look the same. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to learn how an early-stage startup operates and gain exposure to every part of the business while having meaningful ownership from day one. ## What You'll Do Drive Doctor Activation & Growth - Guide doctors through onboarding, from signup to successful activation - Become an expert on our onboarding funnel and identify opportunities to improve conversion and engagement - Act as a trusted point of contact for a portfolio of doctors during their first weeks on Leona - Collect customer insights and translate them into product and operational improvements Analyze Performance & Drive Decisions - Build dashboards and reports that help leadership understand business performance - Monitor key metrics across onboarding, activation, engagement, and retention - Identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities through data analysis - Present recommendations and insights to stakeholders Build Scalable Operations - Design and improve processes that enable Leona to scale efficiently - Partner with product, growth, operations, and engineering teams to launch new initiatives - Lead cross-functional projects from idea to execution - Develop systems that improve quality, speed, and reliability across the organization Support Strategic Initiatives - Conduct market and competitive research - Help evaluate new growth opportunities and business initiatives - Support leadership on high-priority strategic projects - Contribute to company planning and goal-setting processes What Success Looks Like In Your First 30 Days - Become an expert in Leona's product, doctors, and operational workflows - Take ownership of onboarding and supporting new doctors - Build familiarity with our key metrics and dashboards In Your First 90 Days - Own meaningful improvements to activation or onboarding performance - Launch at least one operational initiative that improves efficiency or customer experience - Become a trusted partner across growth, product, and operations teams - Deliver insights that influence company decisions ## Who You Are We're less interested in your years of experience and more interested in your ability to learn quickly, solve problems, and execute. You might be: - A recent graduate with exceptional academic or extracurricular achievements - An analyst from consulting, banking, or a high-growth startup - An multi-year operator who loves building systems and solving messy problems - Someone who has built projects, businesses, or communities on your own ## Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Comfort working with data and learning new tools quickly - Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets; experience with SQL is a plus - Familiarity with AI tools and large language models - Strong ownership mentality and bias toward action - Ability to thrive in fast-changing environments - An intermediate level in Spanish is required for this role ## Nice to Have - Experience in consulting, operations, strategy, growth, analytics, or startups - Experience with SQL, business intelligence tools, or data visualization platforms - Healthcare experience or interest in healthcare innovation ## What You Can Expect Real Impact From Day One Your work will directly influence how doctors deliver care and how patients experience healthcare. You'll see the results of your ideas quickly and have the opportunity to shape the future of the company. Ownership & Autonomy You'll own projects, make decisions, and be trusted to drive meaningful outcomes. We believe in giving people responsibility early and supporting them to succeed. Learn Faster Than Anywhere Else You'll work directly with experienced founders and operators who have built and scaled companies across Latin America and the United States. You'll gain exposure to growth, operations, product, strategy, and healthcare. Build Something That Matters Every improvement you make helps doctors spend less time on administrative work and more time caring for patients. Competitive Compensation + Equity We believe the people building Leona should share in the value they create. ## About Leona Health ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Leona is an AI-native operating system for healthcare providers that integrates with WhatsApp to manage patient communication, scheduling, documentation, and billing. - **Entity Type**: Private (Seed stage, backed by Andreessen Horowitz) - **Headquarters**: Mexico City, Mexico (with offices in Essex, England, UK) - **Founded**: 2024 (beta launched in Latin America in April 2025) - **Founders**: Caroline Merin, Tom Chokel, and Arela Solis ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: Healthcare Technology (HealthTech) - **Target customers**: B2B — healthcare professionals, doctors, and medical teams, primarily in Latin America - **Mission/purpose statement**: “Empowering everyone to take the best care of themselves and their loved ones” by enabling doctors to overcome administrative burden and focus on patient care. ## Products & Services - **Leona AI Assistant**: An AI-powered co-pilot for clinical messaging that integrates directly with WhatsApp Business.
