We’re building an autonomous, zero-emissions hauler that dramatically lowers the cost of freight with groundbreaking vision-based AI, designed for today’s global logistics network. We’re a fast-moving, close-knit team of AV industry veterans and innovative thinkers. We don’t believe culture can be engineered – but when it falls into place, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Progress has never felt so present. ## About The Role You’ll join the Hardware Integration team and work hands-on with the hardware behind our autonomous vehicle fleet. You’ll build and maintain our test benches, debug electrical issues across the fleet, and help bring up new hardware alongside our engineering teams and suppliers. The person who fills this role would primarily work from Humble Robotics’ San Francisco office 5 days a week. We aim to create an in office environment that fosters a collaborative, generative atmosphere where the team can build together. ## What You'll Do - Build and maintain test benches for system integration and new hardware bring-up, keeping wiring, configuration, documentation, and change logs up to date - Bring up new hardware and troubleshoot electrical issues on the bench and across the vehicle fleet, from first power-on through testing and validation - Write scripts and small tools in Python or other languages to test, troubleshoot, and automate bench and vehicle checks - Work closely with our engineering teams and supplier companies on hardware development and troubleshooting, and help put engineering changes into practice - Build, test, and repair low-voltage and high-voltage harnesses and electrical boards as needed (including hi-pot testing), and support their design and design for manufacturing (DFM) - Follow high-voltage and lockout/tagout safety practices and help keep the lab and garage organized ## What You Bring - BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or related field; 0–2 years relevant experience (including internships, projects, and student teams such as Formula SAE or robotics) - Hands-on electrical skills: using a DMM, oscilloscope, and bench power supply; reading schematics and wiring diagrams; crimping and soldering - Basic understanding of 12/24V and high-voltage systems and CAN bus - Basic programming skills in Python or other languages - Comfortable working on vehicles, in the lab, and in the field, including lifting up to 50 lb; willing to be trained for high-voltage work - Clear communication and attention to detail - Eligible to work in the United States Bonus Points - ## Experience with high-voltage systems or battery packs - Experience building, testing, or designing harnesses or electrical boards (e.g., hi-pot testing, harness CAD, design for manufacturing) - Experience using code to automate tests or analyze test data - Familiarity with CAN tools (PCAN, SavvyCAN), Linux, and the command line Our space is a fast-moving field, and we don't expect any one candidate to tick every box above. If you're excited about building the systems that enable autonomous trucks to get safely on the road, and your background covers most — but not all — of what we've listed, we'd still love to hear from you. Humble Robotics is built by people who grew into the hardest problems in this field, not just people who'd already solved them. ## Compensation This role is eligible for base salary + benefits + equity compensation. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including qualifications, skills, experience, and location. ## Perks and Benefits - Competitive compensation and equity - Medical, Dental and Vision coverage for full-time employees - Take what you need vacation policy - Fully stocked kitchen with drinks, snacks and weekly catered meals - Collaborative in office environment located in San Francisco Additional Information As part of the interview process, we may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to compare your qualifications and experience to the job description. A human reviews all AI output and makes a final hiring decision. Humble Robotics does not rely on the output to make any employment decisions. Some applicants may have a legal right to opt-out of the use of AI as part of our interview process. Contact legal@humblerobotics.ai to exercise this right or if you have further questions on the use of AI tools in our hiring process. Humble Robotics is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, national origin, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, veteran status, marital status or any other characteristics protected by law. Humble Robotics will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in a manner consistent with local ordinances. ## About Humble Robotics ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Humble Robotics develops fully autonomous, electric Class 8 haulers to decarbonize and lower the cost of commercial freight transportation. - **Entity Type**: Private (Seed stage) - **Headquarters**: San Francisco, California, United States - **Founded**: 2026 - **Founders**: Eyal Cohen ## Core Business - Primary industry/industries: Autonomous vehicles, Robotics, Logistics, Freight transportation - Target customers: Enterprise logistics providers, freight carriers, and global supply chain networks (B2B) - Mission or purpose statement: "Decarbonizing freight transportation, the backbone of global supply chains but also a major contributor to greenhouse gases." ## Products & Services - **[Humble Hauler]**: A fully autonomous, electric Class 8 hauler designed for dock-to-dock freight movement.
