Furientis was started to help solve this problem- introducing a new class of cost-effective, high production rate, interceptor missiles. We're seeking motivated individuals who internalize this problem and are eager to apply their past experience in similar industries (aerospace, defense, automotive/racing, robotics) and out of the box thinking to solve this problem for the US and its allies. ## About the Role You will make Furientis the company the best engineers and technicians want to join. You'll do it by documenting the real work of building and flying missiles, then turning that footage and those stories into a brand that could only be ours. Most defense startups have started to look and sound the same. Your job is to give Furientis its own visual language and voice, grounded in the people, hardware, and places that make up this company. This is a hands-on role. You'll shoot, edit, design, and write much of the work yourself, and bring in freelancers when a project needs more. You'll set up the capture and release process so nothing important goes undocumented. Top candidates should be citing your films and stories as a reason they applied. This role reports to the CEO and is on-site in Los Angeles, with regular travel to Mojave and other test sites. ## What You'll Do - Photo and video: Shoot photo and video of flight tests, motor firings, factory work, and daily life at the company. Build and maintain the media library. - Brand identity: Create the Furientis visual system and voice, including logo use, typography, color, motion, and photo style. - Films and campaigns: Conceive and produce launch films, recruiting films, and social content from the footage you capture. - Merch and collateral: Art direct merch, patches, posters, and company materials that people actually want to keep. - Creative partners: Hire and direct freelance photographers, editors, designers, and fabricators. - Release coordination: Work with our export compliance and program leads so every public asset is cleared before it goes out. ## Skills We're Hiring For - A portfolio demonstrating a distinctive creative perspective and original brand work - 6+ years in brand, creative, or communications roles, with senior ownership of a brand's direction - Experience delivering high-quality creative work on fast-paced programs with aggressive schedules and changing priorities - Strong personal skills in photo and video, including shooting and editing your own work - Real experience capturing tests or operations in the field: long days, remote sites, and no second takes - Enough technical curiosity to understand the hardware and earn the trust of engineers - Comfort working within strict release rules without losing creative ambition Bonus Points For - Experience at hardware, launch, or critical technology startups - ## Experience capturing launch or missile test campaigns - Motion graphics, 3D, or drone skills - ## Experience with ITAR or government public-release review - Experience setting editorial strategy and writing website copy, posts, program stories, and recruiting content Eligibility & Logistics Location: On-site at our Los Angeles, CA HQ; remote work is not available.
