Our cloud-native platform uses computer vision and AI to help businesses stay safe, make smarter decisions, and move faster; from real-time alerts to seamless clip sharing and multi-site visibility. You’ll be joining an ambitious, fast-moving team that values clarity, craftsmanship, and impact. Every person here has a voice, ships meaningful work, and helps shape how AI can make the world safer and more connected. The role: We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Events Lead to build and scale Coram’s events and field marketing program as we continue to grow across the U.S. This is an opportunity to own our events strategy from the ground up, determining where we show up, how we engage prospective customers, and how we turn events into meaningful sales opportunities. You'll work closely with our Growth and Sales teams to build a program that drives pipeline and strengthens relationships with customers across education, government, and public safety. You'll oversee everything from conference selection and event logistics to pre-event outreach, lead follow-up, and performance reporting. We're looking for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working independently, and excited to build a scalable events program. Responsibilities: - Own and execute Coram's events strategy, identifying and prioritizing conferences, trade shows, and regional events that drive business impact - Manage events end to end, including planning, budgeting, registration, booth logistics, shipping, travel, and staffing - Partner closely with Sales and Growth teams to drive pre-event outreach, schedule meetings, and maximize event participation - Establish and manage post-event lead handoff processes, ensuring timely follow-up and tracking conversion into sales opportunities - Build and execute hosted events, including executive dinners, roundtables, and regional gatherings - Track event performance, including meetings generated, pipeline influenced, cost per meeting, and overall ROI - Develop scalable event playbooks, processes, and resources that enable sales teams to execute smaller events independently - Manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining strong organization, attention to detail, and execution quality - Continuously evaluate event performance and optimize our strategy, budget, and event selection Skills and qualifications: - 3–7 years of experience in events, field marketing, or related roles within a B2B organization - Experience independently managing events or owning an events program from planning through execution - Demonstrated ability to build or improve event programs, with measurable results tied to meetings, pipeline, or revenue - Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple events, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously - Experience managing event budgets, vendors, logistics, and cross-functional coordination - Strong understanding of how events contribute to B2B sales pipeline and customer engagement - Experience partnering closely with sales teams to drive event participation and post-event follow-up - Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced startup environment - Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills - Willingness to travel approximately 40%, with flexibility during peak event seasons Nice-to-haves: - Experience working within a high-growth technology or startup environment - Experience marketing or selling to education, government, public safety, or physical security organizations - Experience building an events or field marketing program from the ground up - Background in hospitality, venue management, live events, or other hands-on event operations - Previous experience in a sales or revenue-generating role - Experience organizing executive dinners, customer roundtables, or regional field marketing events What we offer: - 100% Employer-paid medical, dental, vision, and base life insurance - Flexible paid time off and 10 paid holidays - 401(k) with both Traditional and Roth options - Early-stage equity in a rapidly growing company - Referral bonuses - Daily team breakfast and dinner, and regular team off-sites - The latest Apple products and unlimited tech stack (Claude Cowork, Perplexity Computer, Nooks, Clay, Instantly, etc.) We're on a mission to transform a $50B+ legacy industry by bringing the power of cutting-edge multimodal LLMs and computer vision to real-world security and operations. From firearm detection to intelligent access control, our AI-native platform turns every camera and sensor into a smart system that enhances safety, efficiency, and awareness. Founded by Ashesh Jain (ex-Lyft Level 5, PhD Cornell) and Peter Ondruska (ex-Lyft, PhD Oxford), Coram AI is backed by Ansa Capital, Battery Ventures, Mosaic, 8VC and Up Partners, have raised over $65M, and were named to the CB Insights AI 100 as one of the most promising AI companies in the world. If you're excited to work on mission-critical AI that makes an impact in the real world, we’d love to meet you. ## About Coram AI ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Coram AI provides an AI-native physical security platform that unifies video security, access control, guest management, and emergency response into a single system. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series B) - **Headquarters**: Sunnyvale, California, USA - **Founded**: 2022 - **Founders**: Ashesh Jain (CEO, former head of autonomy for Lyft’s self-driving division) and Peter Ondruska (former head of AI research at Lyft and Toyota’s Woven division) ## Core Business - **Primary Industry**: Physical Security / AI Security Software - **Target Customers**: B2B — serves school districts, healthcare organizations, manufacturers, government agencies, places of worship, hospitality groups, retailers, and Fortune 500 enterprises. - **Mission/Purpose**: Bring modern AI to physical security to help organizations identify risks earlier, investigate faster, and respond before incidents escalate — without requiring costly rip-and-replace of existing camera infrastructure. ## Products & Services - **AI-Native Physical Security Platform**: A cloud-based, unified platform that integrates video security, access control, guest management, and emergency management. Works with any existing IP camera — no rip-and-replace required. - **Video Security**: AI-powered video monitoring with real-time alerts for weapons, falls, and PPE violations, plus natural language video search and "Deep Investigation" agents that autonomously generate reports across cameras and data. - **Access Control**: Integrates with 99% of existing access control infrastructure; enables tailgating detection, forced door alerts, and remote door control from anywhere. - **Guest Management**: Streamlined visitor check-in with ID-based background checks, pre-approved visitor lists, and real-time visitor movement tracking linked to video events. - **Emergency Management**: Built-in panic buttons, mobile triggers, and alert workflows; integrates with emergency services for coordinated response; compliant with Alyssa’s Law requirements. ## Market Standing - **Latest Funding**: $35 million Series B (announced June 2026), co-led by **Ansa Capital** and **Battery Ventures**, with participation from UP.Partners, 8VC, and Mosaic Ventures. - **Total Funding**: $66 million (Series A of $13.8 million in 2025, plus Series B). - **Revenue Growth**: 4x revenue jump and tripling of customer base since the Series A round. - **Customer Base**: Over 1,500 sites across the U.S. and Canada, including Fortune 500 companies, 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, Hershey’s Ice Cream, World YMCA, Lakepointe Church, large school districts, healthcare providers, manufacturers, and municipalities. - **Team Size**: ~100 employees (as of mid-2026), with +128.8% YoY headcount growth. ## Competitive Advantages - **AI-First Architecture**: Founded by AI researchers from Lyft’s and Zoox’s autonomous driving divisions — Coram applies the same computer vision and AI that helps cars understand the physical world to physical security. - **No Rip-and-Replace**: Works with 99% of existing IP cameras and access control infrastructure, dramatically lowering deployment cost and friction. - **Unified Platform**: Consolidates video, access, visitors, and emergency response into one system — eliminating the need to stitch together separate tools. - **Deep Investigation Agents**: Autonomous AI agents that analyze video, access events, and visitor activity across cameras and time — reducing investigation times from hours/weeks to minutes. - **Strong Traction with Complex Verticals**: Proven in security-sensitive environments like schools, hospitals, manufacturing, churches, and government. ## Strategic Focus - **Sales Expansion**: Aggressively growing sales capacity to meet demand that is outpacing the team. - **AI Product Development**: Continued investment in AI research, including the new "Deep Investigation" autonomous agents. - **Customer Success**: Scaling the customer success organization to support rapid customer base growth. ## Why Work Here - **Cutting-Edge AI Work**: Engineering roles involve applying state-of-the-art computer vision, NLP, and autonomous agent technology to real-world physical security problems. - **High Growth Stage**: Series B, 4x revenue growth, 128% headcount growth YoY — employees join early in a hypergrowth trajectory. - **Open Positions (20 active)**: Roles across engineering (Infrastructure, AI, C++), product management, sales, marketing, growth, and strategic finance. - **Founding Team Pedigree**: Co-founders from Lyft’s autonomous driving division (acquired by Toyota/Woven) and Zoox — strong technical leadership and autonomy/AI expertise. - **Culture**: Described as an "AI-native" culture — the company is built by engineers and researchers who value automation, efficiency, and modern technology. - **Hybrid/Remote**: Based in Sunnyvale, CA; roles may offer hybrid or remote flexibility depending on position. - **Key Perks**: Opportunity to shape the physical security industry with AI, work on mission-critical safety technology used by schools and hospitals, and contribute to a platform that helps prevent incidents rather than just documenting them. ## Sources 1.
